Most people here don't know why he got assassinated.
Mek thugs had a very deep grudge from him since the operation Mersad (ambush) in which Iran crushed the MeK army who had help of Iraqi air force,infantry and artillery,taking 4000 casualties from them.The commander of this operation was Ali Sayyad Shirazi.
It was a disaster for MeK,losing almost 60% of their whole members,and a decisive victory for Iran at the end of war.
