In Istanbul the Cats Are King

.
one thing in the vid bothered me very much... the western system of neutering cats that is sadly allowed in turkey... it is a cruel and anti-nature practice... a mini genocide.

Animals don't need to be fed, they have lived their entire lives scavenging for food. You only feed them if you kept them as pets. You must be crazy to call it a mark of super civilization.

Completely agree. They support animal rights and "champion its cause" but don't accept that neutering them is one of the biggest animal abuse, only second to torture.

but these are cats. :)

some would say caring and feedings cats is not just something that a evolved and enlightened person does but is also following in the steps of prophet muhammad.

"super civilization" is when the presence of cats has totally changed the character of the people to make them all gentle, thinking and non-war-like.

Yes there are indeed cats everywhere in Istanbul, the situation led to a quite interesting invention.

Do u realize that cat population growth should be limited somehow? Otherwise they will grow in geometric progress.

I don't think cats are a good example for gentle, non-war like. They act like Kings and do what they want as if they won't face any consequences. These are quite the opposite of things you mentioned.

When I went to Istanbul the cats on the European side were incredibly domesticated you can walk up to them and pet them and they are not bothered but the ones on the Asian side were not like that at all.

but why do you want to limit their progress?? there is that japan's "cat island" city for example.

"king-like" is essentially independent and sometimes moody, yes??

i don't think there are fights among the cats of istanbul.

maybe the cats are wary on the asian side because the younger people there are increasingly adopting the unspeakable creatures ( do*s )... in the vid, on young fellow uses the word "pets" rather than "cats", so the "pets" will include the unspeakable creatures too.

Yeah, 'cause screw the endangered bird populations because irresponsible human wants to introduce cats everywhere.

Its an island so the damage is contained but look at Australia to see what happens when it gets out of control, the cats become bigger and more violent overtime and many other species (including endangered ones) suffer as a result.
