Article 25(1) of the

entitled to the freedom of conscience and the
right to profess, practise and
propagate religion freely.
India's constitution ensures right to conversion into any religion, these recent laws are just being used to create a fear, to stop you from propagating your religion. Don't succumb to fear be bold.
Upper caste Hindu's fear of conversion runs very deep, their real fear is that if the caste difference between lower castes and upper castes becomes a religious difference. The lower castes will become more assertive and start asking for more share in India's resources. This will lead to a revolution.
Everything else is just a diversion. Why was Babri Masjid martyred ? Because of Mandal commission, lots of differences had emerged between native folk people and upper castes. Google for "Mandal vs Kamandal"
