I know that and personally i also accept it was no Dark age for the World as we were scoring in Science world and only Europe as a whole can be said as ''Dark''.

Off,come on man.Let's not play games.Knowledge was taken from former roman territories:Syria,Palestine,Egypt,N Africa and Byzantium.Add to this knowledge from the freshly conquered persians and so on.

You really want to drag this to proofs of how Plato, Arhimede,etc were studied by muslims scientists? Plato.,Arhimede,etc were greeks.This holds true for roman knowledge to,irigation systems,aqueducts to bring water into the cities were taken by the muslims from the romans.Let's not be children about it.

Yes i agree there could have been ''some'' knowledge studies by us to initiate our Scientific Achievements.. Obviously u cant make something from scratch in a very short time in history like they did.

But my point of discussion with the other guy was that its not because of one sole reason(religion) someone is left behind in Science and Development.

Oh let us not have a misunderstanding here ,i don't believe this "they are inferior" thing when we are adressing a civilisation based on religion.For example take the christians:Byzantium (christian orthodox ) was more advanced than western european catholic kingdoms.So,in my opinion,it's not the fault of religion but how people choose to interpret it and apply it. I was merely pointing to you that people constantly improve on other peoples ideeas and you were wrong to call it "stealing".

Btw,europeans took a quantum leap in science because it was a "do or die " situation for them.Muslims had all the trading routes in their hands,Europe was poor and in need of resources.A cornered animal is very dangerous,so they put their mind to work,ventured out in the unknown and...the rest,as they say,it's history.
