I strongly object to this and think it's a terrible idea.

Pakistan has limited resources that need to be put into its industries. We're being left behind by almost every other regional nation including India.

All social welfare programs like this or the Benazir Income Support Programme, creating more subsistence farmers with the government giving away small land holdings, investment in education that almost no one in Pakistan will ever be able to use unless they leave the country, etc... only prolong this country's suffering.

Literally every government that comes to power in Pakistan is inept and the PTI is acting no differently.

They take limited resources, invest it into nonsense when the money it critically needed in other areas specifically industry and the FBR which I've said for years, based on my calculations, has been chronically underfunded anywhere from 500-1400% so they can't hire the personnel, buy the equipment or buy the necessary 3rd party services needed to do their job effectively.

This is like Musharraf signing an FTA which China in 2006 when 50% of our exports were textiles and China's textile industry alone at the time was larger than the whole of Pakistan's economy.

This is akin to fringe liberal lunatics and their political parties like the PPP and PML-N who were calling for nationwide lockdowns despite the clinical data showing it made no sense for a country like Pakistan which, unlike India that has a foreign exchange cushion, couldn't afford it.

This is like all the BS about CPEC when data confirms it can never be what parties like the PML-N falsely advertised it as. We've got money being invested into Gwadar Port despite Karachi port having a port occupancy rate of around 55% as per the Karachi Port Authority itself, public transit projects despite them chronically needing subsidies to survive almost everywhere else in the world, etc... the wasteful spending never stops.

I think KP government is responsible for residents/domicile holders of KP. When you visit a country you BUY insurance. It's not like they give you for free. It take no time to reach Lahore from Peshawar. If someone from Punjab is visiting KP, he can go to Lahore or any other city of Punjab in 4-5 hours (if he want it to be free and health risk is not an issue for him). Otherwise pay the hospital's of KP for your emergency. Isn't it the way it is supposed to be ?

I think this idea is not new to politics.

Sehat and Saholat cards are always a major pull for political parties.

KPk citizens should demand country wide health services which government of the province can later compensate to origin of services.

Bro. You will have to show/give your Sehat saholat card to hospital whenever you are there for treatment. They will have to maintain record as business is involved in the initiative from state life insurance end. It's not like an Afghan mohajir will be able to use the facility. He won't be able to do so. Also, usually people use this insurance for serious health problems like small sergeries, operations etc. Continuous treatment like for TB and HIV etc. In which case there is a burden on hospitals (high usage rate low capacity in hospitals). Which means people will have to wait 1-5 month (depending on type of treatment required). For this you will have to take advance appointment using your Sehat saholat card. So again, an Afghan won't have a chance of misusing the system.

Now that KP got it's health insurance system in place. Kpk citizens should ask for a modern, effective, efficient and worthy education system.

i think people of Sindh should demand Sindh wide health system. People of Punjab should demand Punjab wide health system. Same for people of GB and Baluchistan.

People of Sindh do not need to demand anything from anyone. They are entitled to any services offered by any government under protectorate of constitution of Pakistan as Pakistani citizens.

We are talking about system and how effective it can be or how exploitative it is for end users and business potentials.

Will this mean people of KPK get health coverage while in other parts of the country?

For treatments out of province that are not possible in KP. Yes, they will be paid/refunded by KP govt as per the policy. It's not like if treatment cost 4 million he will get back 4 million. I think annual amount that you can use is 1 million , for extreme illnesses I think it's 2 million.

The same constitution allowed Sindh government to take control of hospitals from federal by showing the same constitution to the federal govt and asking them to go F themselves. If it's all about constitution and entitlement then why people of KP should ask their provincial govt about Sindh province citizens ? You are not making any sense. Shifting boats when it's convenient.

Not yet. kP is a huge province with huge population. 250 hospitals (majority small clinical hospitals) won't be able to control 6 million families.
