Imran refuses to collect funds for flood relief but asks to fund his Jalsas

PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan Friday expressed his inability to raise funds for flood relief efforts.

In a video released after he took an aerial view of the flood-affected areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Imran said he could not currently collect funds for the flood-hit KP province, as he had to collect donations for Shaukat Khanum, NUML University and Al-Qadir University.

Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and Ali Amin Gandapur accompanied him during the aerial visit. Imran said he could only appeal for funds when assessment of losses will come to him as he should along with the relief activities being undertaken.

When you are in the Govt., you don't do private donation seeking and working as a NGO(non governmental org.). PTI have govts. in KPK, Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, AJK, Coalition in Balochistan.

So it's the job of the provincial govts. to do the relief and rehabilition work, Khan will overlook the rehab and relief work as said by him.

And Imran Khan clearly said, just collecting donations are not enough and it requires financial scrutiny and admin. and that he will do it after the initial planning.

Patwaris are worried why IK is doing the Jalsas, it's a public awareness campaign. And he can do the Jalsas and the relief work at the same time, Patwaris(and Zardaris) cannot do either.

He didn't refuse. He already doing lots of charity work for the nation, he said he need to know.. He is being honest, he said he need to know where to spend the money ...just flood is not a cause. At least he has high regard for his donors and want them to know where he spend their money..... very honest man....

Why aren't you happy? He's refusing funds (as per your assessment) and now those funds will go to PLMN's honest leadership, who are in Government together with every other political party of Pakistan.

This is bad bad propaganda. I heard his PC. He never said he doesn't want to collect funds for the floods. He said he is looking in to and he will only collect funds when he knows he would be able to spent them properly.
What he also said is that the amount of efforts needed the funds could only come from the Governments.
Basically what he meant was these thugs cannot be trusted and he doesn't want to use his name for funds, which could be misused or get wasted.
The real question is why the Federal Government and Sind Government is not helping the people who are in trouble. About KPK and Punjab's 2 disctricts he named, he said he would be talking to Ilahi to increase relief efforts.
Stop doing propaganda. Why Showbaz has gone quiet after a hellicopter visit, it is been weeks people in Baluchistan suffering from floods. Even that visit is exposed to be a pure media exercise, the crook has no pain of Pakistani public in his heart, he is just a pure showbaz.
You should be more worried that in Qatar, he once again called his fugitives Son and nephew to the official meetings. They are wanted by Pakistani courts. How come they were invited by PM of Pakistan on his official visit!!
