The biggest religious party at the moment is TLP and their support comes from their madrasa base.Only small minority of public supports them.
One more thing, religious parties run on secterian base so they will never be able to get as much broad spectrum support as IK gets.Only hardcore Sunnis vote TLP,the biggest religious party at the moment.No Shia,Wahabi or Deobandi will ever vote TLP.

Your incorrect. TLP doesn't have Maddrassas, their support comes from all the awaam and molvis in Pakistan who campaigned with the local people to come out on the streets. Tlp is not yet an organisation or a political unit, they're more like a movement without proper organising or leadership. People from ppp, pti, pmln came to protest for tlp but slowly that is dying out because of some blunders. It still has massive support but they're not an organised unit so not so effective.

TeL’s showdown halted all of Pakistan when their leader was caught. In comparison, PTI’s Zaman park incident was a side show. Just shows that the public support for IK is a hoax. 200 vs thousands of TeL.

Nice script the Pakistani establishment has playing out. Create a new drama every time things look particularly bad to distract the awaam. Get awaam worked up thinking best actor Imran (and the awaam's new "anti-establishment" messiah) is at risk or has been belittled, with cooked stories about how Imran was slapped or his house is under siege, etc. Rinse and repeat every month or two as needed. Meanwhile, none of the main actors seemingly have a single scratch on them, in a country where mass leaders have been routinely bumped off at will.
