Trump being Trump any head of state meeting with him especially for country which has strained relationships like Pakistan can be tricky. He is a loose cannon and I was worried that he would embarrass Imran or Pakistan. Well that did not happen but he did embarrass India by his statement about Modi requesting mediation and Afghanistan with his statement about destroying it in 10 days. So overall a good trip for Pakistan. A lot of strategic gains. Zulus and Engines are minor issues and will be addressed in time. The US is also worried about loosing influence on Pakistan as it becomes closer to China. If we don’t get the Zulus or the engines for Atak, we will have no choice but to go for Chinese choppers and that will not be in the US interests.

Main thing is reset button once reset Military equipment will flow like river. No Aid but trade also invite US to invest in CPEC along GCC country. If IK play smart invite india too to join trade corridor along resolve issue pending with them. PAK Can be a gateway where east meets the west.

From US perspective, its not about withdrawal from Afghanistan only, they cannot leave this region, they have their interests here. And the good thing about US, they do revisit their policies, they may have realized which relationship benefits them the most.

For Pakistan ......... I hope they don't undersell themselves like they usually have been doing. This leading the people of Pakistan into hating America needs to end, except for Pakistan and Afghanistan all other countries where there is US presence, they have benefited, Japan, South Korea and others, why can't Pakistan and Pakistanis? Plus it is very important for this government to move from that stupid policy of relying and loving one ally only no iron, copper or gold brothers please.

What is very possible is that USA opens up the resource tap a little while Pakistan shuts off its non-State pipeline - for a while.

Pakistan is (once again) presented with an opportunity to lock interests of all three China, US and Russia in Balochistan. China is already locked, Russia was the one that started insurgency there and they won't mind like US to have a safe passage to ocean. Pakistan Military recently announced that our full focus has shifted to Balochistan now ......... the whole nefarious setup of two I I s in Balochistan can end forever. In return Pakistan gets Balochistan explored, its safety and security guaranteed and finally the people there get there living standard uplifted. We cannot recruit all of Balochistan in military to make sure they are happy.
