If one doesn't simply wanna listen to Mr. khan even though he makes sense then nothing can be done for that specific individual. Its just that some people have an agenda for hate IK cause he speaks alot, talks negative about all other parties, puts allegations on alot of people. Although not all he says is correct and is solely his own opinion and he should think more before making a specific claim but most of what he says is unfortunately true considering the state of democracy in Pakistan is. If anyone thinks that Democracy has been flowing with eas during zardari's and now nawaz's reign as PM is deluded. There was-is little to no merit and it is still a kingdom rather than a democracy. There is zero progress but with the formation of JC, Pakistan moved forward and the dharna was the main catalyst. This couldn't have been done without it believe it or not.

Imran Khan is a stubborn baby, half mental with a lot of self-centred delusions and fantasies for power. His party's foundations laid upon the policy of negotiating with Taliban and his unshaken stance for 10 years lead to popularity when people had been fed up of terrorism, little only to know that it was not his consistent opinion but a matter of stubbornness.

You are right about there is no democracy in Pakistan, there is only question of picking the least-worse out of the lot. Imran bhai did anarchy march on a single point agenda, to overthrow the government and it was non-negotiable in the first place, when he realised he could not accumulate enough support, he changed his stance, after few weeks the stance was changed once again and then it became a matter of how-to-save-face from embarrassment after people stopped visiting his dharna and was nothing more than a night-show for outing... Then they found safe exist after APS and a single point agenda had been flushed down the gutter and the question remained asked a formation of judicial commission.

I did watch in bits n pieces but as I said earlier, he is always repeating the same arguments so had to skip-forward from time to time.

This was one of his best press conferences IMO, spoken like a well seasoned politician I believe...

But some people see marasees all over the place such as those who made post 17, God help them.

Imran Khan's demand is like thief pretending to be cop: Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s demand of apology from the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is akin to thief pretending to be a cop, adding that it’s Khan who should have apologised.

Responding to PTI chairman’s press conference, Iqbal said they would have left the government within 24 hours if the decision was against them, adding that PTI should now adopt a positive attitude.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Khan should not only apologise to the nation, but should also seek repentance from God.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid said while responding to Khan’s presser that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) as party did not demand anyone to apologise.

He said the judicial commission did its job and inquiry raised honour of country’s institutions. The federal minister said Khan’s demands are as if there’s no tomorrow.

I agree IK repeated his statements again and again during his dharna days with new bits of info here and there which is why i stopped watching his speeches for the most part, but that doesn't make what most of he said wrong.

Thanks to Anarchy march, this Judicial commission of ours was made believe it or not. When IK was left with only one choice after being set aside by every govt. institution including our holy National assembly, he took it and that was to do dharna. What happened after that was an aftermath of Nawaz not wanting to open those 4 constituencies that IK requested in his speech at NA's first session in 2013 and the govt. trying to close IK's mouth by retaliating in force and police brutality..

While i disagree about your opinion about IK being a half mental, stubborn baby, its this with determination he's accomplished whatever he wanted to accomplish in his life. His negotiation stance in general with the real taliban is correct, which is what the U.S is currently doing but those are afghani taliban and not these Paid agents(TTP) which is why i disagree with IK no matter how much he reiterates this stance of his with regards to TTP.

In this conference, he did talk about new stuff, constructively critized some of JC's arguements point by point and made a demand for the ECP to resign as they've been totally incompetent from the start. Its not like one of his old interviews where he'll be repeating the same thing over and over and over again.

Dhandli hoe hai has been a slogan of all losing parties throughout the history of Pakistan.

The funny thing is, no ruling government ever won the election in Pakistan and would come out crying about dhandhli. I am not saying the elections were 100% fair but it was the best attempt ever made in the history of Pakistan when the ECP was chosen on the choice of opposition parties and those not part of the parliament, when the judiciary was regarded as the most fair and neutral in the history of Pakistan, when the whole world was invited to witness election as neutral observers, when the care-taker government was stripped out of power in regards to the election and the whole power was shifted to ECP. When almost 0 rigging complaints were made on the day of election and a formal statement came from the PTI government on the following day.

Everything seemed so simple and the matter of rigging was nothing more than a political stunt in the eyes of other parties except PTI as was the case throughout the history of Pakistan. The matter took a doubtable turn after a so-called Umpire hinted Imran Khan to proceed for anarchy as it may lead to ultimate demise of the functional government... Unfortunately the plan did not go as predicted.

Will the PML-N lose by winning?

When the US, after having invaded Iraq, failed to find weapons of mass destruction (WMD), the hawks in the Republican party and their blinded followers justified the invasion by arguing that “just because there is no evidence, doesn’t mean that WMDs don’t exist”, an idea later popularised by Donald Rumsfield as “The Unknown Known”. In a saner world, it was rightly rejected as a preposterous concept.

The PTI, given its narrative, practices and ideological underpinnings has, unfortunately, transformed into the Republican party of Pakistan — little in substance, loudest on claims and presence in the media, and more importantly, followers blinded by some abstract ‘ideology’ inspired by a right-wing narrative, living in constant denial. A denial, that something as impartial as the report of the judicial commission isn’t able to penetrate. To say that the judicial commission’s report is historic, may be an understatement for those whose lives have been directly involved in the mess of constant allegations, abuses, victimisation and threats of de-legitimisation — all without evidence or proof. However, it was not expected that the PML-N government would be vindicated in such entirety. But then again, given how the PTI struggled to provide serious evidence in the court of law (not from the container top), it became obvious that the decision would be in favour of the PML- N.

Should Imran Khan apologise? No, if he’s a politician. Yes, if he is a true leader — especially to those people whom he and his party maligned to the point of no return, beyond any political and human decorum. Justice Fakhruddin G Ebrahim and Najam Sethi should be at the top of the list, if ever the great Khan would want to indulge in humility. But who Imran Khan really needs to apologise to are his own followers, who suffered day and night for months, being misled and blatantly lied to at the dharna. Working at the Pakistan Secretariat when PTI and PAT followers were encamped outside it, I witnessed the suffering and misery of the poor, old and clueless people brought to the dharna from the far-flung districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The enthusiastic PTI followers who would arrive in their cars and jeeps from Islamabad and Rawalpindi in the evening after a good night’s sleep wouldn’t have noticed such suffering, concealed by the bright lights of the daily ‘musical’.

Many in the PTI now think that going to the judicial commission was a bad idea. In terms of politics, yes it was! The first rule of politics, or for that matter, life, is not to play black and white — stay in the grey. Pushing for a judicial commission based on very little evidence was always meant to end in failure. Imran Khan’s strength would have been to remain in the grey. However, driven by whispers from the men ‘close’ to the ‘third umpire’ and blinded by his own accusations of systematic rigging, setting up a judicial commission to overthrow the government was neither in the interest of the third umpire, nor the general public. One really hopes that such a disastrous setback for the PTI will give the party and its leadership time to introspect and reconfigure its political strategy — and take the PML-N government to task at issues that actually matter: water, energy and governance reforms.

As for the PML-N, the report is a third triumph in two years following the landslide victory in the 2013 elections, and Imran Khan’s failed attempt to overthrow Nawaz Sharif. However, for the PML-N to take this victory as a testament to public approval of its performance and evidence of its strong standing for the next elections would be disastrous. I have long argued that voting behaviour in Punjab has radically changed. If people can vote out centuries old gaddi-nasheens and feudals in the 2013 elections, the PML-N will get no special treatment in 2018 unless it performs. If anything, the issue of electoral rigging had for over two years protected and concealed some deeply embedded weaknesses of the government. With allegations of rigging out of the way, all eyes are on the PML-N to deliver — and never have I seen more urgency and alarm within the political party to get its act right. As such, it might lose by winning, if it doesn’t address key reforms. The show, in my opinion, is about to start!

Well before the PTI started blaming everybody and all the PTI fans painted everybody as evil and divided the whole nation in two tiers of Patwari and Non-Patwari class. There was a talk of fresh reforms in the election commission. There was mutual understanding of empowering the election commission and introducing electronic machines before the next election. There were talks of introducing such machines on trial basis within 2 years.. It was part of every party's manifesto to introduce fresh reforms in the election commission and make it more powerful.

PTI did talk about reforms and may be some credit goes to PTI for that but it is a question of debate whether it damaged the whole procedure more than it contributed. There was a time when out of fear of be-izzati the honourable class of Pakistan was reluctant to accept positions out of fear from PTI Jiyalas. How many people refused to become the Chief of Election Commission after the resignation of Fakhruddin G Ibrahim? Everybody knew that its a hot seat and will be like a punching-bag for the losing parties. Eventually a service judge of Supreme Court had to come forward after ex-judges and bureaucrats refusing to accept this position. This is just an example of one post. ECP is still in doldrums and 0 progress was made for reforms due to fear factor

Imran khan emerge as a major player in politics after 2011 . For decades we had corruption every tym Nawaz and PPP came in power . They have become billionaires while our country has become poorer . Blame imran for that as well .
