If Nawaz & Co. want to demonstrate that they have integrity and the best interests of Pakistan in mind - rather than themselves - I don't see why they don't resign their posts. If IK messes up I don't see why the Sharifs wouldn't be back in the drivers seat eventually. Pakistan isn't a representative democracy but it is a competitive oligarchy so the Sharifs will likely survive and even get another chance at high office.

I will say that it was gov. which dragged matters to that infamous Dharna. Things can be resolved by peace and justice, by politics, something that PMLN was NEVER good atm They threw a COAS mid air from his post and got the stick they deserved, they are forcing and brining THIS upon them and the country. So while i do not beleive what PTI is doing by taking the streets i do blame the administration for dragging the matters to this fking point!!!!
Had it been Zardari he would have talked himself out of this but this is baddhah salamat whoes ego wont let him step back and regroup, who can talk and negotiate himself, let alone the country from messy situations. Not something you look for in your top leadership.

The issue after what happened today has only raised the stakes higher, from demonstration to civil disobedience. If this kind of agitation continue from both sides things would spiral into some thing we all can not even think of.

As far as Law is concerned it has to be fair to both sides. Draconian Law that was the legacy of British Rule is still part of Pakistan's Constitution hence these kind of issues would be seen even in the future.

What the Government has done is made Imran Khan more popular and also elevated him to become the number one opposition leader. This might not go well with most of the other opposition because they were part of the Government's moderate opposition.

If these crowds come out in force tomorrow or days ahead those moderate opposition parties would have no choice but to enter them. Increasing the numbers further would be really devastating for the interest of Pakistan's war and maintaining law and order.
