Imran Khan Approves Interim Province Status For Gilgit-Baltistan

.
So go head, when are you vacating Gilgit Baltisan and AJK as is the prerquisite for plebscite.

What drug you are on? Vacate? Why? We have already obliged with the UN resolutions which mentioned of all the non Kashmiri tribes (Pakhtoons) and citizens to leave the Kashmir who came to fight 1948 war alongside Pakistan Army. Now ball is in India court to leave Kashmir so plebiscite can take place.

It has major implication on Pakistan's Kashmir stand.

Pakistan's stand has always been that entire state of Jammu & Kashmir is a disputed territory between India and Pakistan, pending a final settlement.

Now if Pakistan converts a part of this so called disputed territory into one of the provinces of Pakistan i.e an integral part of Pakistan, Pakistan's stand on rest of J&K being a disputed territory falls through.

So as soon as GB becomes a part of Pakistan then Pakistan does not have leg to stand on and claim that Jammu and Kashmir is still a disputed territory.

And will die a slow death, as Pakistan progressively weakens its own stand on Kashmir.

Give up on the UN, which I hope Pakistan does because that organization is the weakest and most useless organization to date that has been unable to take any action in its entire history against any illegal action committed by a non Muslim majority state.

Important thing is we know our rights and we know what is ours, and that we will continue to support the Kashmir freedom fighters, nobody cares about UN, the UN has given the people of Kashmir nothing! The UN is irrelevant, minute and non existent, nothing changes if there is a UN and if there isn't a UN, literally, probably the most useless and dysfunctional organization to date when it comes to bringing justice to states.

You are wrong here, Pakistan does not consider GB as a part of Kashmir, that's why Kashmir and GB has different govt.

.
You can not claim part of the very same state as part of Pakistan and still go on claiming rest of state as disputed.

We can claim to anything we want along with the indigenous peoples of kashmir.

Nobody can define what Pakistan cannot cannot make a claim to.

Mmm no idea but can we remove Mr Avenfield from the list? So it's either Mr U-turn or Mr 10%.
The people of gb are said to mostly educated. I can just hope they would not select Mr 10%.
I have the privilege to have many friends from gilgit baltistan . Infact my closest and dearest friends are from gilgit baltistan.
The young are very energetic and they have been dying for this.
All they need is representation in senate and parliament and declared a province.
The reason why we failed to secure an investment for diamer bhasha dam is just because gb is a disputed territory.
Azad kashmir has no problem of sort as they have independent setup.
So China, World Bank everyone is funding dams there.
The youth and people of gilgit baltistan is just dying to get this representation and that is also the reason many emotional youth full of nationalism have gone astray .
The people realize that about 80 percent of their economy runs on tourism and that's why their elders calm down the youth that are demonstrating for the status of province .
I would love to see discussions of this on media today but not a single news channel picked it. Indians news channels picked it but Pakistani didn't. They didn't even realize the issue of gb, only interested if Imran khan drank an extra cup of tea or not.

This is the most positive development.
If khan do approve and sign It.
He wold go down in the histroy as a hero.

Nopes, we still have to legs to stand on, indians can safely suck on the third one.

Good point. Also, as per latest census results, Pashtoon and Balochis are in same proportion in Baluchistan now. But all Balochis are not anti-state. Maybe some 3-4%.
But they are exposed to the propaganda never the less. Unless and Until we raise the living standards of Baluchistan and its security conditions by nipping the insurgents once and for all, Baluchis will always be susceptible to Baloch nationalist Propaganda as there is somewhat loyalty exists among baluch population with the Tribal elders, some of whom had adopted a clear anti-Federation Stance (Thanks also to our own wrong policies in the Past as well). Maris, Bugtis and Mengals. But it is not the case of Pashtuuns. They don't give a crap to this So called Fake Baluch cause.
Its entirely different Topic to make the Balucis Understand that Poverty and Underdevelopment is not their Exclusive Problem. Punjab and Sindh have much more poor areas then Quetta. Even Some Areas of Punjab and Sindh don't have electricity and their are more Baluchis Living in Punjab then in Baluchistan. While People of KPK and FATA are devastated by War and terrorism due to some Questionable policies of the Federation. But no one speaks out and lashes out against the federation. Its Genuine Problems of Our Country which we need to come out of together.
