IMG Reliance pulls out of PSL

pakistan markets are so undeveloped they have to select an Indian company to broadcast their cricket shows. What a joke...

Not really you guys came begging to us for the rights. So wake up Sanghi, also just for your tiny brain more Indians watch PSL than Pakistanis. Now crawl back to your slums in Delhi.

Thank you Indian company. Please if you could go spit in the face of PCB or shit in thier Biriyani, that would be appreciated.

I'm so glad. From the deepest depth of my heart thank you.

1. This is shown whichever aman ka tamasha snake who would betray our nation and use the services of the enemy thier true aukat. This Indian company has dignity which is why they treated PCB like shit on thier shoe.

2. Hopefully the cricket stays off the TV a few days. Give our jahil awam a chance to think about why they're funding Indians.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • IMG Reliance is the only producers of the Pakistan Super League worldwide
  • PSL will go off air unless the PCB brings in an alternate production service
  • The move comes in response to 40 CRPF paramilitary troopers being killed in the Pulwama terror attack
Bull shit. Last time PCB did it itself.
It can simply buy airtime and earn from ads

PCB shouldn't of picked an Indian company in the first place.
Nothing is wrong if a hefty fine/complete money is received but i think this wasnt the case otherwise they wouldn't habe walked away so easy

IMG reliance was making money of a Pakistani event. Good riddance. There are many Pakistani media giants who can do the same and bring the money to Pakistan.

Usually the money is paid in advance. So was the money here paid in advance or was it some $h1tty deal as always? If yes(money was paid), then no issue here. PCB should hire proper lawyers and sue them and for the mean time give the rights to some other group.

Nice cope. You have zero industry in your country.

This is the whole story. PCB never sold the rights to IMG in the first place. They were resold by the company which bought rights for the next 3 years, as they don't own a TV Channel or the ability to broadcast.
But no issues as the online streaming website Cricketgateway is owned by them and they'll find a new production and broadcasting partner.

"We have been informed by IMG Reliance that they will be unable to partner with us for the remaining HBL PSL 2019 and PCB has reserved all its rights. The PCB always had a contingency plan in place, and we are confident we will be in a position to announce the new partner on Monday after the completion of the formalities," PCB's Managing Director Wasim Khan said.

The PCB had sold the PSL broadcast rights to a consortium of Blitz Advertising and Techfront for approximately USD 36 million. This deal was set to run till the end of the 2022 season.

Neither Blitz, which is a media management group, nor Techfront, an affiliate of a sports technology and management company, own a TV channel. So they resold the rights to others with the facility to broadcast cricket matches.

Techfront does own the Cricketgateway website, which has been streaming PSL matches online for the past two seasons. That website has stopped providing its coverage to India. DSport, the television channel showing the PSL in India, has also stopped its coverage.

Rights given to ten sports now... Though Indian broadcaster had to pay full money to pcb as per the contract. Really no issues as long as we are getting money from Indian pockets.
Lol. What will bharties do now, ban ten sports?

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced the consortium of Blitz and Trans Group as its new live production partners for the rest of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019.

The board announced that Blitz will be the broadcast partners in Pakistan, while Trans Group will be the event management partners.

"Blitz and Trans Group will start their coverage when the matches resume on Wednesday, 20 February, and will continue to provide the same high-quality coverage which the followers experienced in the earlier games of the event, which kicked off on 14 February," the statement read.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the cricket board had confirmed that IMG Reliance would no longer be the live production partner for the 2019 PSL following the days matches played in Dubai.

“We have been informed by IMG Reliance that they will be unable to partner with us for the remaining HBL PSL 2019 and PCB has reserved all its rights. The PCB always had a contingency plan in place, and we are confident we will be in a position to announce the new partner on Monday after the completion of the formalities,” PCB’s Managing Director Wasim Khan had said.
