Are the words of IMF, the words of God, that it cannot be challenged?? Just look at the last 10 years of prediction of Indian growth of IMF, & each year u will find that India exceeded the growth forecast of the IMF.

4.9 is too low for India, 5.5 is at least. Also keep the inflation down. Do not listen to IMF, just do what India should do.

And let's not forget that both S&P as well as Fitch have threatened to downgrade India to "junk" status if they do not increase their growth and reduce their deficits.

Unfortunately, S&P has said that India's recent economic reforms are not good enough, and they are still likely to get downgraded in the coming months.

In another couple of month you will see that same agency reporting growth between 8-9%.
