Well u have a point ...but anyways..sunglasses are meant to be worn by defensive teams ..surveying an perimeter ..and not as combat gear...

sunglasses mask the eyes of the Guard & are not visible to the perpetrator...hence the perp cant tell if the guard has spotted him/her in a crowd. and the Guard can subtly radio in his findings.

This can indicate RAB being more of a homeland security force, than a SOP group.
