It says building a team in june 2 and in june 3 this guy dead.
So believing it as a joint operation = EPIC FAIL unless a joint team is set up in a days time and they go hunting within 24 hours time.:toast_sign:

Please make use of your pathetic brain before you ink something.

The possibility of a joint team was set off the day OBL was killed. It was under discussion since then and the modalities were being worked out. This further strengthened when the US handed over the list of most wanted terrorists to Pakistan - at this point the joint venture was almost finalized. This didnt make news as it might 'hurt' feelings. i know this because i should know it.

Here:

US hands over 'most wanted terrorists' list to Pakistan
28 May:The United States has handed over a 'most wanted terrorists' list to Pakistan, expecting it to provide intelligence about them immediately and possibly target them in joint operations, according to a US official and a Pakistani official.

Further, on 2 June the news regarding formation of the team was almost out:

US-Pakistan form an anti-terror squad: report | World | DAWN.COM
US-Pakistan form an anti-terror squad: report

And then on 3 June:
Pakistan confirms joint intel operations with US | Pakistan | DAWN.COM
Pakistan confirms joint intel operations with US

Also, Kashmiri was at nuymber 4 in this list that was handed over to Pakistan.

But most importantly, a simple fact that you chose to omit (either deliberately or because of your shallow knowledge) was that the ISI and the CIA has been working together since the dawn of this WoT, they have been sharing intel, info and targets (must have heard the drones taking off from Pakistan and Pakistan providing the yanks with the ground intel etc, right?), but this was not exactly made public (though it was an open secret) as your likes might start extracting maja out of it.

So, this joint team was not an 'out of the box' idea, or something that would take weeks or months to plan. At best, since R.Davis issue, there might have been a stop on the intel sharing between the two agencies and the OBL became the nail in the coffin, but then when it was decided to re-work together, it's just like plugging in the RJ-45 connector behind your laptop so that every one becomes online (this i say both figuratively and what actually that might have happened).

So, like they say: Gadhay k sir pe seengh nahi hotay

yup ur theory is perfect .

Sad when asked about it the government officials said they have no idea.

Maybe its a thing between ISI and CIA alone and PM is not aware of it otherwise the acknowledgement of a joint operation should at first come from Pakistani side. Isnt it?

Two hell fire missiles to send him to eternal hell fire cool way cool.

Era of Global Terror will end in 2011 just like Communism ended in 1991.Who's what/who will be the next evil.

Who's becoming the new "best friend" of US?

Lets say in couple of decades, its going to be the worst enemy..

@Topic: good riddance !!!

Can these drones take care of Hamid Gul and Zaid Hamid? Not that these people are evil as Ilyas Kashmiri or Maulana Fazlullah were, their crime is much bigger - they are incredibly stupid.

Dont worry, Drones are not needed for them but they will be taken care.
Now the target the top four, one id down, three more to go. Way to go Drones and thanks for the Pakistan Army (if they had helped) for their help. After these ruthless four, the terror infrastructure of Taliban, al-Qaeda, LET should be wiped out and the extremist's elements in Pakistan Army/ISI should also be eliminated, so Pakistan becomes a peaceful country and start progressing economically.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — One of Pakistan’s most wanted militant commanders, Ilyas Kashmiri, has been killed in an American drone strike in the tribal territory of South Waziristan, residents and a militant member in the area said Saturday. Officials said they were also aware of the reports but could not confirm his death.

Mr. Kashmiri was considered one of the most dangerous and highly trained Pakistani militants, allied with Al Qaeda. A former member of Pakistan’s special forces, the Special Services Group, Mr. Kashmiri was suspected of being behind several attacks, including the May 22 battle at the Mehran naval base in the southern port city of Karachi. He has also been implicated in the terrorist attack on Mumbai, India, in 2008, in which 163 people were killed, including some American citizens.

He was killed Friday in a strike on a compound in Gwakhwa, not far from Wana, the main town of South Waziristan. He had recently returned to South Waziristan from another part of the tribal areas, the BBC reported.

All are referring the same BBC as source, but I hope its not like the Sep 2009, when he came back.

Ilyas Kashmiri killed in US drone strike, confirms HuJI

ISLAMABAD: Banned terror group Harkat-ul Jehad-al Islami on Saturday confirmed the death of its commander Ilyas Kashmiri in a US drone strike, Pakistani TV channels reported.

HuJI spokesperson Abu Hanzala issued a statement in which it said it would take revenge from the US for Kashmiri's death, Dawn news and other channels reported.

The channels said they had received a fax message from HuJI confirming the 47-year-old Kashmiri's death.

The al-Qaida-linked terrorist was a key suspect in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

BBC Urdu had earlier reported that Kashmiri was among nine militants killed in a US drone strike in the South Waziristan tribal region.

The US drones targeted a location 20 km from Wana, one of the main towns in South Waziristan late Friday night.

A drone fired two missiles at the spot and two more missiles were fired after a short interval, local residents were quoted as saying by BBC Urdu.

The report said Kashmiri came to Wana from the Khyber tribal region 10 days ago and moved to the area where the drone strike was carried out last night.

Asked by media persons in Multan about reports of Kashmiri's death in the drone strike, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said, "I do not have any information now."
