Yes, when animals are caged up in horrible conditions and slaughtered it is cruel, but for animals that are well taken care of and slaughtered painlessly it can be good as more of that particular animal are bred in the world, and in the case of good slaughterhouses they are also well fed.

I can understand your point from an ethical perspective, but animals dont have the same feelings and emotions like we humans do; if you ever watch a wildlife documentary you can see that nature itself is far more cruel and animals will kill other animals regardless of that animals age or the animals suffering. In fact some animals like Lions will keep the animal suffering so that they can play around with its remains while it is still alive.

We humans have evolved to hunt and kill animals, our biology is based around the consumption of meat, so as long as we slaughter them in an ethical manner then I don't see how there is any harm.

Anyway, it is not about cows per se or animal rights, but rather about human rights.

The fanatical hindus are putting their bets on other fanatical Hindus being elected as CM, PM and to other powerful posts so that these extremists had a free ticket to blame anyone of eating beef and lynching them publicly.

Similarly having freedom to burn mosques, churches or blowing up trains because they know, there is no one who will prosecute them.
