What's new

If we had Rafales, we’d have shot down 4-5 Pakistani jets after Balakot: IAF ex-chief Dhanoa

It's rather funny how the new IAF Airchief after ridiculing himself with permitting to fly the so-called Balakot formation, has all but disappeared from the scene but astonishingly, the now-retired B.S. Dhanoa is still having nightmares thus trying to remain relevant by issuing statements on an almost daily basis....reminds one of the creature battered and bruised and in sheer desperation attacks his own tail.

By the way its been almost one year since Operation Swift Retort and interestingly PAF openly invited any expert from around the world to inspect IAF MiG-21 debris as well as missile that never went off the reail but India didn't avail such opportunity to prove their claims at all.

Not just that but never invited anyone to inspect piece of PAF's AMRAAM found inside India that they waved it for some complaint or to claim. They should have done it in first instance if they were so sure & true. Ironically, no Indian Expert asked them the question to do so.

I think that this man has some substantial share in the commission money of Rafales deal.

Bull Sh!t Dhanoa just cant stop spewing bullsh!t.

That explains pretty well that they can't prove anything but for sure, if they had Rafale to shoot down Pakistani Jets... means they couldn't hence, needed Rafale so badly. Conclusively, going in rounds & rounds to talk about something which is unproven and what they don't have.

If if if

Only the tea India was fantastic

Only iffffffff

Mr. BS is, indeed, securing his cut!

One has to admire how cute, innocent these Indians are
...

When the DGISPR says.. Wait for Our Surprise...and these Indians are talking as if they were unaware of the Special Delivery coming their way...it makes them sound so valiant, so out-of-this-world!

It must be some Ancient Indian Strategy that we mortals cann't understand or decipher...

I do suspect that this BS will continue ad infinitrum...perhaps the side effects of Truthium Serum?

Indian are the Best Dodggers in the world!

One just has to look at their faces during the Press event. What a "victory."

Honestly I'd like to believe the guy but there's more chance that they'd shoot down 4-5 Rafales if they were operating Rafales at the time.

Can some learned member shed some light on Rafale vs F-16 Block-52+ in the presence of AWEACS on both sides? Realistically, if IAF did have those 36 Rafale last year with Meteor, would the outcome still would have been the same?

And, what will happen when India has upgraded all MKIs to Super MKIs and have 36-72 Rafale?

It will take at-least 5 to 10 years for these Rafales to be operational preparedness, compare it with the PAF of at-least 5 to 10 years of the future not of todays.

Basically he acknowledged that SU30, Mirages and Mig 21s got their arses served on a platter.

Jo Balatkaar Dhona ka hua hai sari zindagi nae bhoolay ga yay. I mean we used Mirage 3 fighters built in 1960s but still came out on top. Indians on the other Hand used to brag about Su30 being mini AWACS got AMRAAMS and SD10s jammed up their arses.

If we gotta violate international law or whatnot it is what it is,
the indians WILL (not maybe) try playing games again like they did last year, we can't be complacent the response has to be instant this time.
The PAF under whatever circumstance has to bring a Rafale down and make sure the pilot gets some tea.
That is a phycological scar they will never recover from.

Where are the ENDians?.....

so they accept with their 1000 duffer fighter cannot take on 350+ PAF eagles?....

but seriously did IAF head even the understand the impact of what he said?. It basically PAF cleaned their clocks and they could not even scratch the PAF....

He is right.
On Feb 27, 2 Su-30s & 2 M2000s were outnumbered 6:1 by 4th gen jets (12 F 16 & 12 JF17) whereas they can take on odds of upto 2:1 against 4th gen jets (6-8:1 against 3rd gen).
But despite being outnumbered so badly, Su-30 & M2K still managed to exfiltrate safely with zero losses.

On the other hand, Rafales with Meteors can easily take on odds of 8:1 against 4th gen jets (12:1 against 3rd gen).

In other words IAF failed both on 26 February and 27 February 2019

Thanks for admitting the truth multiple ID rat

i have never seen these ratios, but then ... nice try making things up

it shows indian failed to fly su30 properly

less nations have bought rafaels whereas f16 demand is high which shows rafael is not as much capable as indians are thinking otherwise israel would have replaced their f16s with rafaels

Doesn't matter what we or the other side had before. When India will have Rafale+Meteor we will have BLK3+PL15 combo. And maybe we will also have F-16 blk 70 if we are really lucky.

So, in your opinion, it wouldn't matter that IAF would be equipped with 36-72 Rafale with Meteors and Super MKI's with extended range BVRAAM's? Can anyone really be comfortable pitting a JF-17 B3 against a Rafale or even an MKI?

If you give a pandu the best football boots in the world does he suddenly become Pele?

Indians pilots will always be indians.
In the words of Chuk Yeager. Pakistanis are aggressive dogfighters.

Perhaps you should revisit the results of 1965 and 1971 wars in PAF vs IAF context.......IAF got better in 1971 compared to how they performed in 1965. Who is to say they are not even better today? We cannot just sit smug with past results.
