Recalling the 2011 US operation to kill Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, an Indian minister said New Delhi is able to carry out a similar raid. The statement comes amid a simmering conflict that saw tit-for-tat action over Kashmir.
“I remember when US Navy Seals went to Abbottabad [Pakistan] to kill [Al-Qaeda leader] Osama bin Laden, then why can’t India?” Arun Jaitley, India’s finance minister was quoted as saying by local media. He said such a raid “used to be only an imagination, a wish, a frustration and disappointment,”adding, “but it’s possible today.”

Jaitley, who was defense minister until late 2017, was speaking just a day after a series of artillery shellings and air encounters over contested Kashmir. New Delhi said its Air Force engaged and shot down a Pakistani aircraft (presumably an F-16) but lost their own MiG-21 fighter as well. Pakistan, in turn captured an ejected MiG pilot, posting a photo of him in custody.

The fighting came after India conducted air raids against “terrorist” in Pakistan, some 50km (32 miles) from the UN-mandated Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, which serves as the de facto border in the disputed region. India hasn’t launched incursions that deep into Pakistani territory since the war of 1971.

New Delhi claimed it was a response to the Pakistan-based militants attacking and killing dozens of its police officers in mid-February. India also accused Pakistan of turning a blind eye to terrorists on its soil, while Islamabad vehemently denies the claim.

The CIA-led 2011 raid on bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, was launched from Afghanistan, involving SEAL Team Six and other participating units. The US military said bin Laden’s body was brought to Afghanistan for identification and then buried at sea, within 24 hours of his death in accordance with Islamic tradition.

Initial reports claimed the Pakistani military was unaware of the raid as Washington allegedly refused to share information about it until it was over.

However, bin Laden was not located through tracking of his couriers but through a “walk-in,” according to award-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, citing a “retired senior intelligence official,” along with a handful of anonymous others.

LOL!

Just like there were WMD in Iraq...

first india get technology equal to u.s then think of this

India got a whack on their head but they still have not woken up to the reality. At the time of Abbottabad we had the corrupt mafia who was in US pockets ruling us even we could have responded but told by mafia not to do so and then things got muddled up. Things are different today and plus India is no super power just a bit more stronger then us. Yesterday you got a bloody nose tomorrow you may loose your face altogether, so be beware and wake up and smell the coffee. War is a dirty business and I rather keep my hands clean being on the path of peace.

Simple answer: Because you're not USA.

They like to put shot down F-16 in their every article like this way the F-16 will really be shot while parked on the airbases. They are trying to build a narrative that everytime some one talk about Indian jets shot down they also talk about Pakistani F-16 shot down which never flew to begin with.

Let there be War!

The Elite Politicians, well fed, well kept, well paid and peoples enjoying life of perks & privileges both Civilians & Military personnel's in Pakistan & India are averted to War. They know, that in case of war, we will loose luxury cars & luxurious lifestyle. In Pakistani Military & Civilian structure, these peoples are far greater risk than India, because these scums addicted to luxurious life style are also collaborating with CIA, MOSSAD and other foreign elements.

However, either there will be India or there will be Pakistan. India WILL keep destabilizing Pakistan, until and unless it has completely subjugated Pakistan & Pakistani peoples: Or unless and until Pakistan becomes a client state of India.

Finally, I have been praying for a decisive War with ENDIA for a long time. May it happen soon, with the victory of Islam, Insha Allah!

Now they have found out that they cannot even if the US can.

LOL this is their reasoning folks. Because the US did so can we. What a childish bastard nation.

Let the USA raid now with change of leadership. We will see how long they can raid and stay on Pakistani soil. Back then the conditions were very favorable for the US. Times have changed now. There is no corrupt leader they can buy.
