If terrorists from Pakistan keep targeting India, surgical strike may be repeated: Rajnath Singh

@Samlee , no need to engage this loser, he's in a real sorry state, every day his butt gets kicked out of this forum but he immediately returns with another fake ID so his banter is just as credible as his ID.
Never seen anyone so desperate to be on a Pakistani forum, that's the height of their obsession and inferiority. As for the topic, we still have our boots on their necks, this is from an Indian source.

Pakistan still occupies four kargil peaks

pakistan1.jpg

On July 26, the country celebrates Vijay Diwas to commemorate India’s victory in the Kargil war. But five years since the war, four strategic Indian posts in Kargil are still under Pakistani control and the government is not ready to spell out the truth, reports VK ShashikumarPoint 5353, Bunker Ridge, Saddle Ridge, Dalu Nag. These are posts in the Kargil sector that the soldiers of the Indian army knew incontrovertibly to be their own. They form a sort of memory map of disjointed emplacements along the treacherous mountains in the Kargil sector. Features that are joined in various military maps of the area by dotted lines.

Army sources confirmed to Tehelka that at least two of these features are under Pakistani control, thanks to botched up military operations and a government that wanted to hide the truth. The fate of the other two features, Dalu Nag and Bunker Ridge, is still shrouded in mystery.

Just Because Pak Army Is Not As Good As You Are I Making Noise On The Media Doesn't Mean They Can't Hold Their Own
Here is another complete story from Tribune India:
On 26th July, two weeks after the IAF concluded their strike missions on 12th July, the government announced that all intrusions had been vacated. Officers and soldiers of a not so well prepared and equipped Army valiantly fought dozens of difficult high altitude battles that involved crossing deep ravines and painstakingly scaling steep hostile craggy rocky slopes, often at night, to retake lost territory peak by peak yard by yard in an inhospitable terrain and sub zero temperatures which was as much the enemy as the Pakistani soldiers. Indian soldiers and air force pilots had to function within the constraint of a government directive forbidding crossing the LoC. However, for tactical reasons the Army thrice successfully crossed the LoC to capture tactically important features to facilitate vacating the intruders. The 27 Rajput battalion crossed the LoC south of Turtuk near NJ 9842; 14 Sikh battalion similarly captured a feature about a kilometre inside the Pakistani side of the LoC near Chorbat La while a Jat battalion captured a feature adjacent to the Kupwara sector. In the latter case, however, the soldiers had to withdraw west of the Mushkoh Valley after about 30 of them suffered frost bite. The Army continues to retain all the captured features.
Victory's cost
Did the Kargil War end with an Indian victory and Pakistan's defeat? Has India learnt its lessons? Has Pakistan too learnt its lessons and desist from repeating history? The meaning of events changes with time and 17 years is a fairly long time to reflect.
India's victory lies in recovering territory lost due to its incompetence, this came at a high human cost: 527 soldiers (including six airmen) killed and 1,363 wounded (many maimed for life). When compared to duration and geographical spread, the Army proportionately lost more soldiers in the over two-month war than in the 14-month 1947-48 war in which 1,103 soldiers were killed. The IAF lost three aircraft - a MiG 27M to engine failure and a MiG-21 and Mi-17 helicopter each to Pakistani missiles. Some deft diplomacy led to an unusual public support by the US and all major countries for the Indian position vis-à-vis a diplomatically isolated Pakistan. Islamabad's, rather Rawalpindi's (headquarters of the Pakistani Army), 'success' lay in internationalising the Kashmir issue; exposing the Indian Army and intelligence agencies, respectively, for their lack of preparedness and incompetence; and continuing their proxy war in J&K. Overall the otherwise militarily well executed intrusions by Pakistan, who for the first few weeks succeeded in misleading the Indian Army and intelligence agencies, reflected badly on the security apparatus of a country considered a regional power with the world's third largest army, fourth largest air force and seventh largest navy.
Panel and all that
Three days after the war ended, the government on 29th July 1999 constituted the Kargil Review Committee (KRC) headed by K. Subrahmanyam to examine the sequence of events and make recommendations for the future. The report submitted in December 1999 was tabled in Parliament in February 2000 following which in April 2000 the government constituted the Group of Ministers (GoM) Committee headed by LK Advani to examine the entire gamut of the national defence structure and to formulate specific proposals for implementation of the report prepared by the KRC. The GoM, which met 27 times, in turn formed four Task Forces, each of which examined the intelligence apparatus, internal security, border management and the management of defence. The report submitted on 26th February 2001 was discussed by the Cabinet Committee on Security two-and-a-half months later on 11th May.
Some of the recommendations accepted included the establishing of an Intelligence Coordination Group and a Technical Coordination Group (tasked to oversee technical intelligence). The Aviation Research Centre or ARC, which earlier formed part of India's external intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), was elevated to a separate agency known as the National Technical Reconnaissance Organisation (NTRO). Border management is now based on the one-border one-force principle.
Some of the Services-specific measures taken included elevating the Fortress Andaman and Nicobar (FORTAN), earlier under the Eastern Naval Command, to the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC), a first-ever tri-service Command. The government created the Strategic Forces Command entrusted with nuclear weapons and long-range missiles, a tri-services Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), a Defence Procurement Board and a system of a holistic 15-year Long Term Integrated Perspective Plan (LTIPP). India now has better resolution (one metre) satellites to detect intrusions while large portions of the LoC have been fenced with barbed wire and sensors. The Army has since truncated the geographical jurisdiction of the Srinagar-based 15 Corps and raised 14 Corps in Leh to exclusively cater for the Ladakh region that faces the armies of two countries - China and Pakistan. J&K now has three Corps - numbers 14, for Ladakh, 15, for the Valley and Nagrota-based 16, for the Jammu-Poonch region.

Also the Praveen Swami article confirms this we captured P5310:
The Army's tactics in Kargil now appear to centre around forcing a territorial swap for 5353. The worst of the fighting has come in the Batalik area, to the east of Kargil, where Indian troops have been ordered to take any unoccupied positions they discover on the Pakistan side of the LoC.
In one such operation on April 8, a company of the 14 Sikh Regiment occupied point 5310, an unheld peak roughly one kilometre air distance on the Pakistan side of the LoC. Subedar Bhatnam Singh and one soldier were killed in an avalanche during the opera tion.

Army covers up Turtuk failure
From the Asian Age (22 Sptember 1999)

New Delhi: The Indian Army and the political establishment may be at loggerheads and blaming each other for the huge losses in Kargil, but they are working together on a cover-up of a similar situation in the Turtuk sector. It is now learnt that contrary to the assurances given to the nation, the Pakistanis are still holding Indian territory near Turtuk, which is the furthest point under Indian control along the Nubra river. On the night of August 29, an attack was launched by a company of the 3rd battalion of the Rajput Regiment, located in Turtuk, to clear the territory of Pakistanis. The attack on the position called Durga in subsector Haneefuddin involved a steep climb in the dead of night. Unfortunately, the attack was discovered and the Indian troops were subjected to intense Pakistani machinegun fire and shelling. The Indian casualties were heavy — 19 jawans were killed and 20 wounded. Six went missing. It is these six that the Army said went missing when on patrol on the Indian side of the Line of Control. While it is true that these soldiers were on the Indian side of the LoC, what the Army and the government have neglected to tell the nation is that the area is still held by a Pakistani Azad Kashmir battalion. The six men who the Army spokesman repeatedly said were on a patrol were, in fact, lost after the night attack fell apart. According to well-placed sources in the military, the men, who were trying to hide, were discovered by the Pakistanis when daylight broke. Four, including Captain Suneel Yadav, were gunned down in cold blood after surrendering. The other two who witnessed the event were discovered a little later, by which time there was a senior Pakistani officer at the scene who had them safely extracted and sent to Skardu for questioning. Captain Suneel Yadav’s father, Captain Ram Singh Yadav (Retd), received a telegram from the commanding officer of the battalion, Col. S.B.N. Janardhanan, that his son was killed in action and that the body could not be recovered as it was lying in a deep gorge. On the other hand, Radio Pakistan reported on August 30 that the Pakistanis were in possession of the bodies of four Indian soldiers, including that of a captain.

An Army band was dispatched to Captain Yadav’s village for the funeral. The band was told that the body had been sent. The band reached the village on August 31 but there was no body. Because the Army and the ministry of defence are suppressing the full facts of the situation in Turtuk, they are not in a position to protest against the disgraceful conduct of Pakistani troops who murdered surrendering Indian soldiers in cold blood. It may be recalled that soon after the Pakistani occupation of the hills overlooking Kargil was discovered, the Indian Army launched similar desperate attacks to clear them before the debacle became fully known to the people. Indian jawans were set the near impossible task of climbing up sheer rocky cliffs devoid of cover while subject to deadly Pakistani machinegun fire. Thus, in the first week of fighting, the Indian Army lost almost 200 officers and men. During this period, the Army was headless with its Chief, General V.P. Malik, on a trip to Poland and some other east European countries.

The chief of the crucial Northern Command, Lt. Gen. Khanna, was preoccupied with some domestic matters and was in Pune. Even then the operations were sought to be micro-managed using the vice-chief in New Delhi as the conduit. Military sources reveal that even platoon level deployments were controlled from Army headquarters where the two top BJP defence experts, foreign minister Jaswant Singh and the PM’s secretary Brajesh Mishra, used to breathe down the necks of the brass. The heavy toll of officers and men on August 29 in Turtuk was a repeat on a smaller scale of what happened in Kargil. Once again, the Pakistani strength was underestimated and a foolhardy attack was launched. One military officer bitterly compared these desperate and near suicidal attacks to the charge of the Light Brigade in Crimea and the blundering senior officers to Raglan and Cardigan. Analysts here attribute the ready willingness of the brass to send jawans on near impossible missions to the fact that they are now mostly drawn from the peasantry and hill people, and treated as cannon fodder. In the recent Kargil conflict, the maximum number of jawans who died were from Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa and the Naga hills. While a great deal of fuss was made over Flt. Lt. Nachiketa of the IAF who was shot down and taken prisoner by the Pakistanis in mid-June, neither the President nor the Prime Minister have met the two jawans who survived the terrible night at Turtuk.

Other than capturing 5310 as revenge for 5353 we captured P5770(Bilal post)along with one more position in Siachen in June 1999, we also gained three positions in turtuk & other regions:
However, for tactical reasons the Army thrice successfully crossed the LoC to capture tactically important features to facilitate vacating the intruders. Also Turtuk sector was cleared by end of august/early September:

That report is outlasted as the soldiers were killed during a offensive on a peak(reshma) across the LoC insidePakistan and not a hill inside Indian side.
Even Pakistan admitted it was a cross LoC offensive by us.

The peak along with two more Pakistani peaks nargis & Benazir were on Pakistani side of LoC.

That sector became totally quite by next year as can be seen by multiple visits by journos to that area:

Turtuk was cleared mostly by September but due to firing & later winter we were able to reach those positions only by next year as can be proved by finding the bodies.

Rajnath Singh also commented on Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed's 'house-arrest' in Islamabad stating it an eyewash.

New Delhi, February 3: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday made some strong statements against Pakistan saying that India cannot rule out more surgical strikes in Pakistan-controlled territory if terrorists from the neighbouring country target India. The statement was made by Rajnath Singh in an interview with Network18 Group.

“Pakistan is our neighbour. If it changes for good, we may not need such a step again. But if terror organisations or others target India, we can’t guarantee that surgical strike will not be repeated,” Singh was quoted by Network18 in the hour-long exclusive interview.

Rajnath Singh who stand on the second position in the Narendra Modi-led BJP government also commented on Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed’s arrest in Islamabad. Singh said Saeed’s arrest is an eyewash and if Islamabad is really serious about tackling with the terror outfits, it should pursue legal options and must put him behind the bars with applying appropriate charges.

While talking about fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who is reportedly hiding in Pakistan, Singh said, “I am confident that we will succeed in getting him back. It is just a matter of time”. Singh took a hard-line towards Pakistan but he was more measured when it came to China. Rajnath Singh refused to answer on China’s repeatedly blocking -Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar – as a terrorist at the United Nations. Singh said, “Maybe China did not support us because of their own internal deliberations. But I am hopeful they will support us in the future”.

It was quite interesting to see that Home Minister Rajnath Singh also refused to criticise the US decision to put a ban on Muslims travelling from seven Islamic countries, a decision which has triggered a widespread criticism for US President Donald Trump. Singh said Donald Trump must have taken such decision after “assessing local; terror situation”.

Talking about his home state Uttar Pradesh that is holding assembly elections in two weeks’ time, Singh expressed faith that BJP will win over 250 of the 403 seats. He said the BSP and the SP-Congress alliance should decide who is the main opposition to BJP, and observed who the real opposition would vary from region to region. Singh, a former CM of the state, ruled himself out of the race to become the UP chief minister. “I am already the home minister, it would be an injustice if others are not given a chance,” he said, noting that going ahead with the poll campaign without declaring a CM candidate would not affect his party’s chances.

Only 10 soldiers died in Turtuk.
Whereas Pakistan lost 300 soldiers in Munto Dhalo alone.

httpswww,defence,pk/threads/ex-cia-officer-on-iaf-strike-on-nlis-munto-dhalo-depot.208907/

Turtuk was completely cleared as confirmed by the outlook article despite high casualties(high casualties are not a problem as we have 1 billion population and easily replaceable).

You really need BP medicines.

And by August-September 2000 we not only captured Turtuk areas but also Point 5310 in chorbatla area of Turtuk which was on the Pakistani side.
