Identifying 50 Issues with J-10A for PAF

As far as i can remember from news media at the time.. Pakistan was insisting on Chinese engine on J-10 and China was being unable to make one. The issues were not withe actual aircraft per say , but with the aircraft and the chinese engine at the time, which was a hornet's nest of problems.

despite us picking holes in PAF strategy, we have to admit they know what they are doing. An example is we all used to bash them on Mirage 3/5 and their holding onto it. But now we are all in a better understanding on what that plane is capable of despite the age. So I have trust in PAF's decision making.

I want to know what PAF wanted to see in J-10 when it evaluated it along with world's top notch delta wing / canard designs (EF/Rafale)? What were the reason it was not adopted at that time? Was it possibilities of getting more F-16s (may be used one) or something else. We must bear in mind, we are talking about a time when even Block-II was no where near production let alone block III which entered preliminary design phase in 2016-17 and no one knows when its first flight would be let along serial production. So, what was that? You brought a very valid point Mirage 3/5s in PAF. May be PAF wanted to see a massive jump in terms of strike element in J-10 compared to ROSE upgrades. But was it the reason or among the reasons??

IMO The biggest hurdle in J-10 procurement is F-16. If PAF gets the impression from US that F-16s are available the it will never go for J-10 because of the setup we have established for the F-16s.

IMO The biggest hurdle in J-10 procurement is F-16. If PAF gets the impression from US that F-16s are available the it will never go for J-10 because of the setup we have established for the F-16s.

Engine was the problem.
PAF wanted J-10 with Chinese chinese engines and they couldn't make an engine for J-10

China didn't issue export certificate for the jet until 2017?
How could any foreign buyers including Pakistan could buy the jet when it was illegal to export it?

He is not in the Airforce anymore. And he was not flying those jets. He cay say whatever he wants to but the matter of fact is that the real news lies with DGISPR.
