Do you see Pakistan procuring anything at this meeting?
Araz
I see Pakistan definitely signing some contracts (short&long) term with domestic suppliers ie. small arms, UAVs, MBTs etc and also some more supply related contracts with foreign vendors such as Samsung for maintenance of PG Artillery rounds soon to be produced. I've heard talk the SSGN or SSW is acquiring a new personal arm similar to the P226 adopted by the SSG announced at IDEAS 2006.
Perhaps the PN may announce a sudden procurement contract for either the Scorpene or Marlin SSK at the show to catch the Indians off balance but more likely they will ink some smaller contracts with foreign vendors such as Blackshark torpedoes and Agosta maintenance & support deals on the sidelines.
