If they are in crops nothing grows around them as all the water goes to them

Here in Jhang per acre price is from 1 to 2 million price depends on location if it is near some road than price would be higher
Or near some main road in some areas it sells in millions

what crops (profitable) do you recommend for fertile land with plenty of water available? i want my people to move away from wheat, rice and sugarcane now.

Try unconventional stuff.
Like strawberries,vegetables,papaya etc.

Preferably with latest progressives farming systems.

Wheat straw is burnt if wheat was harvested by combine harvester
But burning wheat straw cannot cause smog as wheat is harvested in april may
and smog starts in November December during this time sugarcane leaves are burnt

Yes there is more under ground water in deserts than other areas. The sand is porus and absorbes more water.

Sir I am talking about thal desert and what I have seen there. Rest I don't know what is the geographic features of Saudi Arabia.

Need to know exact area if u are from Punjab Agri dept and NARC will help u pointing out suitable crops acc to area

and you are right people should contact departments related to agriculture but mostly people don't know about them.

yaar dekhi nai kabhi but looks interesting hum sindh wallon ko achi cheezian naseeb nai hooten we are 50 yrs behind punjab when it comes to dairy and i think some 30-40 years in agri;
