Idiot,
Even the contract for Darin III upgrade is yet to be signed.

Yesterday you people managed to crash your Third best Aircraft, the F7PGs which was barely 12 years old.
Did anyone made fun of that

I thought upgrade is only for 60 or so jags. Can you show some sources?

Sorry got mixed up - here it said the IAF intended to upgrade it's entire fleet of 123 Jaguars -

Probably not all of them will get the Honeywell F-125IN engine upgrade.

What was the original cost of these birds with support structure.

Flyaway cost was $8 million when the last Jaguar was inducted in the IAF.

Even the contract for Darin III upgrade is yet to be signed.

Wasn't the contract singed in 2008? Since the fight flight has already taken place - so the contract must have been signed?

The IAF plans to modify 123 licence-built Jaguars by fitting them with more powerful Honeywell F-125IN turbofan engines and the locally designed Display Attack Ranging Intertial Navigation-III (DARIN-III) avionics suite.

However, the upgrade is being delayed by the failure of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to conclude a contract to acquire 280 Honeywell F-125IN engines for around USD2.5 billion. The F-125Ns will replace Rolls-Royce Adour Mk 811 engines.
I don't know, Reports contradicts the numbers.
missing @sancho 's wisdom here ;)

This is an old looking machine and some of the units India received were rather recent.

... IAF is keen to upgrade the Jaguar with more powerful engine, fourth-generation cockpit and mission avionics, and self protection suite so that it better fits IAF doctrinal thinking.

Much better if they retire them and induct a new platform instead.. LCA Navel perhapes.
