IAF Wants an Air Marshal to Head HAL

The armed forces must stay away from manufacturing weapons. HAL can be divested to private corporates and a professional management must run the show. Now that HAL is going to be a listed company, there would be some pressure from market forces to show better performance. Some of the DRDO aviation labs may be merged into HAL to integrate product development with manufacturing.

Agreed. GoI should strop treating PSUs like HAL as some holy cows that should not be touched but should go ahead with privatization of HAL is not performing up to the mark.

This is interesting, should be done immediately .

Well if they have then kind of disappointing...we have already seen how big the communication gap b/e our armed forced and defense companies...we certainly need a way to converge this gap...if not this then something else..

Heck even I want IAF to directly command HAL rather than sarkari dodos ruining the game of strategic supremacy when all is going well for our economy.

The military was never happy particularly with this government in power. I am not being political but more than one military commander has stated this tacitly. Marshal PK Barbora, Admiral Mehta, ACM Naik, ACM Major, General JJ Singh and NSG head DG JK Dutta.

They have repeatedly mentioned how militarily disappointing this government has turned out to be and they are bang on target about it.
