well this thread is old bt lets look at the present circumstances...its 2015...rafael deal is abt to be cancelled...tejas is abt to enter service...more MKIs are gng to be produced at HAL..& btw IAF needs 42 squadrons now to face a 2 front war...mig 21s service has been increased...no matter how u look at it 42 squadrons cant be raised even by 2022...
