An Indian Air Force helicopter crashed near Bommarasipet village of Shamirpet on the city outskirts, nearly 40 kms from Hyderabad, on Monday.

The Cyberabad Police Commissioner, Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, said a lone pilot flying the copter suffered injuries and was shifted to hospital. “Our policemen started for the place where the copter crashed. Reasons for the crash and details of injured persons would be known only after examining the spot,” he said.

I have only 1 ques .
Why ?? Why ?? Why so many crashes in iaf . I really fail to understand this . If this trend continues then very soon we will run out of birds . Its a shame . Cmon iaf the world is watching u , and ofcource is having negative view .

Nothing wrong with IAF dude its just about the old choopers they are using , but yeah IAF needs to change their training infrastructure.

Completely true , actually these guys really need to learn properly how to plan , actually what our MOD do is that they start finding replacements only after any of our weapon actually crosses their service life I think they should learn this thing from the Chinese.

Feel like killing the MoD officials for scrapping the 08 tender in which the Fennec won.........Had that tender not been scrapped,we would have seen AS 550's replacing these 40 year old equipments!

there is a huge difference in operating 160 plus jets in one air force and less then 10 in another , buddy u also have lost 3 of them , USAF have lost 350 F-16 but it operated 850 of them , while PAf lost 9 but operated only 40+

just check the number of flying hours of SLAF and IAF.... then compare

But still we need to change our training infra can't see our pilots dying like this.
