He didn't said we will attack or going in war. Only Possibility of 26/11 happens again or retaliation. If case of another 26/11, There will be no option left under huge pressure from Indian public and GoI. For every War, other country prepares some target. If he said about 5,000 Targets. I am sure, Pakistan must have also prepared Some Targets. 5,000 or 30,000+ Targets for India.

Many Top official of Pakistan already said we can use Nuke First. India has no First use of Nuke. So, Our defence must be preparing to tackle 1st Attack. Simple to understand.

P.K Barbora is also not Chief of IAF. So, His views not matter.

I have several friends and relatives in the military. Even they do not understand why the establishment has to come out with similiar statements occasionally. Some of them speculate that this is most likely a scare tactic to pre-empt pak adventurism and possibly keep them on their toes. Such statements may be intended to force the pak establishment to take even more radical measures thereby, placing further strain on an already strained infrastructure and morale. The Indian doctrine seems to be focused on keeping the pak army on a heightened state of paranoia.

India targets ‘identified’ if you attack us: ISI chief

The Inter-Service Intelligence directorate’s powerful chief, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha, has warned India that any Abbottabad-like attack by it would invite a “befitting response” from Pakistan as targets in India “had already been identified” and “rehearsals” had been carried out.

Lt. Gen. Pasha’s warning came at a joint session of the Senate and the National Assembly held behind closed doors on Friday.
The Inter-Services Intelligence chief is facing a lot of flak over his agency’s inability to track down Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, where he was living, before he was killed by US special forces in a covert operation on May 2.

In an apparent response to statements from New Delhi that India too can carry out strikes inside Pakistan, Lt. Gen. Pasha said any attack from the east would invite a “befitting response”, Dawn reported. A contingency plan was in place and targets “inside India” had “already been identified”. He told the

Pakistani legislators: “We have also carried out rehearsals for it.”
Earlier, on May 5, the Pakistan Army and the government had reacted sharply, warning India against any Abbottabad-like “misadventure”, saying it would be responded to “very strongly” and could lead to a “terrible catastrophe”.

I don't think, India is interested in initiating going into War. Only if other sides starts, We will Retaliate. Why we will be in War when Pakistan already in War like Situation in all aspect?

Intelligence agencies . airforce of both sides identify potential targets in case of war. They are kept for that reason. But these things are not suppose to declare in public.

Pakistan is a small country with 5000 targets, hmm. India is a bigger country 4 times, so PAF must be close to 20,000 targets. The IAF chief with 350+ aging Migs (Called the flying coffins by the Indian Media) is definately on crack. I am going to go hide under the bed now.

He is not Army Chief hence his views not matter. If Indian Defence has identified 5,000 Targets in Pakistan what's wrong ?? Even ISI said they have identified Targets in India too. who Knows Pakistan has already identified 35,000 targets too.

I have no problem with him identifying such targets. It is his job obviously. But the thing he should refrain from such statements. He is not the air chief of IAF. The guy looks like some kind of a big mouth.

In 1965 IAF identified targets but PAF destroyed all its aircraft in border bases on the ground i hope its not the same story again

That is news to me. I was based near one of the border base. Your PAF was so naive that they dropped paratroopers right near the airfield only to be captured by the farmers and some were beaten to death.

After the first surprise attack our IAF continued to operate and won the war at the end of the game. Do some of your research before you write your post. There is nothing to be ashamed of when one looses the war. It is not the fault of general population, it is because your nation's Military and civilian have no vision for the nation other than mindless focus on Kashmir.

I hope some of you will wake up because there is some time left to put some life in to your beloved country. I know you can bring about positive change if you take the bull by its horn. It will be the greatest gift that you can give to your up and coming generation.
