IAC-1 shaping up nicely

I'm glad we've got you're contribution on here bro. You're unsubstantiated claims directly contradict remarks by an Indian Navy Admiral but clearly you are correct. ;)

These are not my claims but reported by defensenews.com a non Pakistani and Indian source. What everyone else is quoting are Indian sources.

OMG you read it !!!! OMG!!!!!!! :lol:

Well you needs to check up your eyes. They are giving you hard time here. OR you don't understand plane English??

Unfortunately your plane English is not as plain as you think. :lol:

Alright fellas, enough bickering. What @ejaz007 is saying is not wrong, however most of you here are confused about construction phase of the IAC 1 and the completion of the whole project. Saying that the only 30% of the project is complete doesn't mean that only 30% of the construction is done. A naval project doesn't involve just the construction of the hull, it involves weapons integration, training, sea trials and then final acceptance as well.

If we assume that 50% of the project is construction, 25% is weapons integration (including aircraft operations), 25% trials and training, then saying that only 30% of the whole project is complete is not wrong. Once they have installed the super structure, done all the interior work, furnishings, battle management systems, relaid the landing surface, then we can say that 50% of the project is complete.

So give it a rest now and enjoy the photos.

Welcome back @Roybot

@ the topic of percentage of completion, a project completion is typically calculated in terms of value and or time. In terms of time it would seem its more than 30 pct completed. However in terms of value, certainly 30 percent seems about correct.

However since its not a commercial project, time is the more useful criteria.

@Roybot

Thanks a lot.

It seems in our part of the world patriotism is the only project that is always 100% complete, well ahead of time and in most cost effective way. :lol:

Construction is the most difficult and time-taking phase of all development. If that phase is 70% complete,
the other types of work are easier to do.
