I agree. You can tell from his condition. However I invite any member here to go and place themselves in hand of these terrorists for five years. I know somebody in UK who was charged and found guilty of rape which by any measure is a heinous crime. He is out now after 4 years on mitigating grounds. He was in UK jail. He knew he was safe. He knew he was coming out after 4 years alive.

Compare the fate of this guy. Middle bandit country. No law. They might have at any stage killed him or he might have been killed during rescue mission. No knowing when and what is going to happen day after day is torture.

I do think though the military would have told him to embelish the story. I certainly would. Is he obliged to his kidnappers or something? "Oh okay you grabbed me from my family. Locked me up for 5 years but not to worry I will put good word out for you guys. Make you look look all saints in front of the public". Get real !


Don't blame him. I would and I would stay there put. Would not want to say there in case there is Part 2 in the offing.

Clearly it was 4 years of mental torture, I bet he had a fair few mock executions, that is a common technique used by these thugs. And part 2 might just be round the corner, he better get off to Monte Carlo or Copa Cabana lol.

With that i will agree maybe he exaggerated it a bit because of some obvious reasons but at the end of the day torture is torture no question about it.

His face does not look gaunt at all, I am sure he must have feasted regularly on Kabuli Palau lol. But glad he is back, his family will be relieved to say the least.

I am one of those people who genuinely felt happy for him and that Gillani boy over their rescue, but this dude is blatantly lying. He says they pulled the nails from his fingers and toes and at the same time shaking his hands showing his perfect nails, now i have had a few nails removed surgically due to in grown nail issue and they never grow back like that.

He's trying to get sympathy votes to stand in the next elections. All topi drama.

I did not suggest for one moment that he never received any torture, all I said it was probably not to the extent he suggests.Though I could be wrong.kudos

It's funny reading this thread with people accusing his family of being corrupt etc. yet how many people here even pay the correct amount of income tax? how many of yous have given or taken bribes? Taliban are capable of far worse but we don't even know if it was Taliban who kept him in captivity and tortured him for years. That said, he is saying things that don't make sense especially when his nails are in perfect shape. If you ever had a nail removed you would know that they don't grow back in perfect shape like his look. What i don't get is people already sympathize with him, why did he exaggerate?
