I t is time to pronounce the Trans-Pacific Partnership clinically dead.

They settled down in Hoi An, small seaside town in central Vietnam, before moving to other places in Southeast Asia.

who is the 'they'? Also, can you at least go do some source-mining and show me just ONE source that the Chinese in Singapore, Penang and Indonesia came from Vietnam before i myself then EASILY provide you more than 10 sources(i dun even have to look hard) that the forefathers of the Chinese in these places came directly from Fujian(including all 4 of my own grandparents), Guangdong and Hainan in the early 1900s

I think Vietnam and Singapore should form a bilateral economic pact to maximize the advantages.

Vietnam and Singapore are already part of the ASEAN Economic Community, which is a common market agreement signed last year.

We have the '4 freedoms' similar to the EU: free movement of goods, services, capital, and skilled labour.

Take a look at Samsung andFormosa Petrochemical who invested more than $10 billions into Vietnam. Both companies are having deep troubles for their huge investments in Vietnam.

Samsung is successful in Vietnam. They started big investments long time ago, continue to put more money to Vietnam and the latest investment carried out in December 2015.
Does the fact tell us "they are having deep troubles for their investments in Vietnam" ?

While Formosa never come into production. And the problem come from their violation to Vietnam environmental law.
