Punjab is the largest province of Pakistan having a population of 91.90 million. Out of 91.90 million persons, 38.17 million are estimated to be illiterate.1 Total population of children having age 5-14 years is 20.20 million while total estimated number of illiterate children is 06.50 million. 2Total population of adults (14+ years) is 71.70 million while total estimated number of adult illiterates is 31.67 million. Total number of government primary schools are 48,886 and totall number of enrolled students is 7.4 million.

6.50 / 20.20 makes = 32.178% students just between 5-14 years in Punjab are illetrate.

31.67 / 71.70 = 44.17% students in Punjab who are 14+ years are trilateral.

Do you not see faults and criminally flawed policy as yet? As I mentioned before, 100,000 are poor and hungry and Shahbaz would fee 100 out of those in 5 Star to show-off and get news-coverage that see how well I feed the poor. .

Sasti roti was yet another flawed project just like this metro buss service and that was unsustainable by design. Its just like you having 300 rupee for your 30 days budget and your budget allows you to spend 10 every day but you spending 40 rupee every day because you could show-off that way. Its simple, you will run out of your resources and then for 20 days there will be NOTHING to live on. Punjab lost more than 200 Billion Rupee because of this flawed project that couldn't run more than 2.5 years. Here in Australia, Sustainability is essential subject which even accountants study and look at this leader who may never have heard what sustainability means. And here are some personality lovers who will accept every crime, every ill-intended scheme in the name of supporting a clan. Leaders are less than leaders alas but even more alas that their followers are less than thinkers.

Regarding Transparency International, I would wait to see their reports after this government's tenure is over. They are a non-governmental organization and their opinions are as good as yours or mine. If they allege, you don't become convicted and if they clear you off, you are not acquitted. I wonder if your mind is convinced the other way around?

Coming to 52% figure, I take my words back. These figures were probably about number of ghost schools in Punjab but I need my reference to confirm.

Danish schools is not the only thing Punjab govt did in 5 years. The District teaching system has been introduced and the attendance of students and teachers have been doubled!!! This is some progress !!!

I thought you would share another fact-sheet to support your claims as you had asked from me. Besides absence of facts, I can see the emptiness and passiveness in this post which has political odor instead of reasoning.

When you fail to see faults of a person and his/her weaknesses start to appear as qualities, you are surely in love with personality and if you are in love, you are definitely not following logic and intellect anymore. Go on, give yourself few moment of silence and try to see this person the way he has been, not the way he has been trying to be seen. I pray may Allah Help you see the reality.

Transparency seeks details of allegations against Metro project | Newspaper | DAWN.COM

ISLAMABAD, March 3: The Transparency International Pakistan has asked three political leaders to provide details of their allegations that irregularities have been committed in the procurement process for the Metro bus project launched by the Punjab government in Lahore recently.

In separate letters written on Saturday, TIP chairman Sohail Muzaffar asked Deputy Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf chief Imran Khan and Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira of Pakistan People’s Party to submit details of their allegations in a week for consideration by the organisation in examining the application of Punjab Procurement Rules 2009 in laptop, Ujala programme and Metro bus projects.

He informed the three politicians that TIP over the past five months had signed memoranda of understanding with the PTA, Benazir Income Support Programme and PIA for implementation of the ‘integrity pact’.

Three Punjab government departments – energy, higher education and Lahore Development Authority – also signed the MoUs with the TIP. In pursuance of the Punjab government’s request, TIP under these agreements would examine the application of rules in the procurement process of the projects.

TIP chairman said the PML-Q leader had alleged that the biggest corruption in Asia had been committed in the `Jangla’ bus project. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also alleged that the actual cost of the bus project had not been made public, rules and procedures not followed and planning and ground realities had been ignored in a rush to complete the project.

Conflict of interest is the single most destroying factor in whole investigation and all companies, organizations and governments eliminate conflicts of interest first and before they proceed with investigations. Here how happy you are to quote Transiency International who has gone under agreement with the person under prosecution. If this is your base of discussion then I am sorry, I cannot discuss in the absence of logic and wisdom.

On a side note i have no clue what this thread is about. Is it to prove Shahbaz Sharif is a clown who has learned the mendacious art of lying very openly and fearlessly? Our politics stinks and nationalism has often been sacrificed at the altar of such dangerous politics. Everyone thinks about himself and no one about the nation.

If PMLN has never been involved in corruption then I am aladdin with a lamp. Wish life was that easy.
