Thank you for bringing me to this thread. That was a beautiful video which took me through life of simpleton paharis. All the people had a smile on their faces despite the harsh weather they face and the tough life they live.

I am them. Well, not really what they do. I have a lot of family there, i go there when i can. Yes beautiful people, peace loving people. You will find such people all over Gilgit-Baltistan. People are hard working peace loving, even better literacy rate is quite astonishing. People are quite active all the time. Once i went hiking with my cousin, couldn't keep up with him, very tough people.
Just for your knowledge, i also drink my tea at times with salt(left it because it's quite strong). Reasons: it's very addictive, very good with traditional bread of Gilgit-Baltistan. We call it "Chupati" ahh, had it for breakfast. Very good. It's basically simple bread oil,wheat,salt, yeast and oven it. Very good, grew up eating it.

We call the ppl living on mountains as paharis, so I'm guessing you too are a pahari.

Don't be surprised, people there are known for their hospitality. English is widely spoken, some even speak Chinese, for tourist.
First time i went to Hunza(first time i remember going), i swear i couldn't handle it. I have a lot of family there, so i had to go to everyone's house to meet with them. Everyone would make us wait for lunch or dinner. I was so full that day, good times. Best thing about the region is in fact it's people. Very respectable, very peaceful.

Hahaha I do want to leave everything behind and live here.

Make time in life, you only live once. Visit when you can. And if you do make time, do tell me. Would save you a lot of money and time.
