Hunza.. North Pakistan.. Documentary Video

@WAJsal lil bro
Thank you for bringing me to this thread. That was a beautiful video which took me through life of simpleton paharis. All the people had a smile on their faces despite the harsh weather they face and the tough life they live.
Loved it!!!

I wish I could live a simple life like them... @jamahir @Syed.Ali.Haider remember our discussion.

This simple life is also changing, I am sad to say. Overpopulation, lack of social development and environmental degradation are slowly but surely deteriorating these areas that once offered such an idyllic lifestyle. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Don't be surprised, people there are known for their hospitality. English is widely spoken, some even speak Chinese, for tourist.
First time i went to Hunza(first time i remember going), i swear i couldn't handle it. I have a lot of family there, so i had to go to everyone's house to meet with them. Everyone would make us wait for lunch or dinner. I was so full that day, good times. Best thing about the region is in fact it's people. Very respectable, very peaceful.

Make time in life, you only live once. Visit when you can. And if you do make time, do tell me. Would save you a lot of money and time. :enjoy:
:lol:

i know what u mean. Whenever i go to AJK same thing happens with me as well and it becomes annoying sometimes since i visit frequently. I guess the culture of our mountain people is same.

However dont get too excited Indians r not allowed there.

Why photographers keep going back to Hunza

Simplicity is leaving us everyday, some 30 years ago a village in Punjab was simple, simple hospitable people. I remember once going to my father's village in Talagang and friend of mine asked me if I can drop something at his relative in some village in Khushab which is a bus stop when you go from Sargodha to Talagang, I agreed. I go off at the stop and first guy i saw I stopped and asked him about that person, he said yes i will take you to his house but my house is just around the corner why dont we stop and have lunch and then i will walk you there...I insisted that i am in a rush but he just would let me go without having lunch. the most simple and tasty lunch I ever had in my life, a tandoori tori with butter spread on it with a big clay bowl of Lassi. I guess it was the taste of sincerity. simple days simple people, thing of a past.

Anyway so I was late I got late to Talagang at 2:00am, now I am hungry again and everything is closed and I cant get a bus till next morning, I sat at the Charpai restaurant and owner was sleeping, I sat there for about 30 min and owner woke up for bathroom and he saw me sitting there asked me "Saab khariat hay" I said yar bohot bhook lagi hay kutch hoga khaney ko, he said bismillah ji Salan to para hay roti laga deta hoon bus 10 min lagy gain. once again I had the taste of hospitality...he didnt even take my money, said yeh karobar ka time thora hay, aap ko to allah ne mehman bheja hay.

I hope these people are still around but what i hear nowadays i think not.
