Actually this is very common in all of punjab rural areas. Hazara region is different since they have large local hindko speaking pashtun population relatively. So maybe dynamics of intermarriages in Hazara between afghan refugees and locals is different then one in punjab where its usually old chap or disabled guy with afghan wife.

So it is also happening in your neck of the woods, in AK it is happening due to very large Afghan population.

Actually its more common in punjab sine AK is relatively poor area apart from Mirpur. Especially around GT road rural areas from Islamabad to Lahore.

Men are the leaders of their household - this is patriarchy. It is natural.
And Islam comes from the Creator hence wisdom.

Their properties? Afghan nationals can not legally buy properties in Pakistan. However if you feel so strongly, please feel free to compensate by giving them properties and businesses in India.

They would have bought on fake papers. State will take back illegally obtained properties. Do illegal Bangladeshis buy properties in India? Are they allowed to by law. Just curious here.

Patriarchy does not mean being oppressive and locking women in the house; rather Men take care of women (women do the same for men) but when push comes to shove ultimate responsibility lies with Men. This does not mean Men impose their views on their women; rather they should work together with mutual consent.

It would be great if I were a seventeen year old, what a care free age it was? (Retrospectively speaking, at the time I was stressed out with exams and university applications).

Bhai you can't deport Pakistani women so likely afghani husband will get citizenship just like it happen in other civilised countries. Now don't give exemples of arab or some other muslim country to prove a point. Pakistanis get citizenship in western countries by marrying local women all the time.
