Since I'm traveling in China right now, I have some gay friends who live openly their live with their partners. There are no laws targetting them specifically, their only problems are their parents who want them to be married with a woman and get a grandchild for them. Some of them are very vocal and want their partnership to become legitimised by the gov.

O hwow, so it's ok for two straight people to hold hands and show affections in the public but gays should hide their inborn nature.

I think marriage in modern time is overrated, I opt for partnership with all the duties of a married couple. In that way, you can have more than one partner without being married. But that should be open to women to have more than one man as partners as well as a man with more than one woman as partners, or a woman with a man and a woman as partners and a man with a woman and man as partners.

I'm bet that's what you would not agree with.
