Two BSF jawans were attacked and their weapons snatched allegedly by Bangladeshi farmers who sneaked into India to graze their cattle in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Sunday, a statement said.

The incident happened near the Nirmalchar border outpost in Ranitala police station area when two jawans of the 35th battalion were patrolling, it said.

On noticing that a group of Bangladeshi farmers was crossing the border to graze their cattle on fields of Indian farmers, the jawans intercepted them.

Soon, hundreds of people from Bangladesh crossed over to India, and attacked the jawans with sticks and 'dah' -- a sharp-edged tool mainly used in farming, the BSF said in the statement.

As the two jawans were seriously injured, the Bangladeshis fled back snatching their firearms. Getting to know about the incident, security personnel reached the spot and rushed the two jawans to the nearest hospital, it said.

BSF said the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) was informed about the incident, and a flag meeting has been sought so that the weapons of the jawans could be recovered, besides preventing such incidents in the future.
The BSF has lodged a complaint at the Ranitala police station.

Indian farmers have been complaining about the theft and damage of their crops by Bangladeshis, the statement said.

Indian BSF should vacate Murshidabad and relocate its new border with BD.

Peace will prevail in the new border.

What actually happened is a couple of drunk indian aholes crossed the border and got their arse handed to them...

Many Indians lease their land at no man’s land to Bangladeshis for cultivation as they can’t access it due to wire fence now. This is a known arrangement for many years.

It may be because these a** hole BSF Jawans created problem and probably asked bribe that has created the issue.

I can understand Bangladeshis sneaked into India but how the cattle’s sneaked into Indian land as well? Here the news said the farmers sneaked into India to graze their cow 🤷‍♀️!!

This is an issue about $$ and illegal trade. Not so special in a limited impact way. I actually very recently saw this documentary and l learned a things about the BD-India border issues:

I know illegal trades are involved but here the farmers supposedly took their cow for grazing in Indian land that probably was leased to them by the Indian land owners.

Most likely. We should not believe Bharati toilet media report uncritically. Why Hundreds of villagers need to attack a few cowardly BSF? Most probably BSF entered into Bangladesh territory and tried to snatch cows from a farmer which they are known for doing but villagers taught them a lesson.

Your BSF Jawans are lucky that they were not killed by our civilians.

Go to a Madir and pray for their early recovery.

Don't bitch moan next time one of our boys cannot control themselves from pulling the trigger. And its coming very soon.

You will know what our own BGB and the public think about the trigger-happy BSF once Hasina Bibi is ousted. Wait for it with your fingers crossed.
