Huge Projects of Türkiye

No matter what some people think those big projects are a good foundation for a future development of this big country. I am sure that a lot of money were spent or stolen from a lot of them. I am sure some people who are closer to the government make a lot of money from them as corruption is tradition in this part of the world (which is dragging the whole region backwards) but I am happy that such an astonishing projects are being built in Turkey. Those big projects will attract investments and developments sooner or later as our country has a potential to be one of world's fastest growing economies again. As soon as things with terrorism and wars in our neighboring countries calm down the good growth will begin again.

Turkey should be a country with great infrastructure. A country that produses almost everything it needs from food to technologies, weapons and r&d. Hope that someday investments in education and science will be much bigger than now. Only that way Turkey can climb to the top of the world where Turks belong and from where they come from. We only need to stay united as people because only that way we can overcome all bad things happening to us. No matter what we believe into, or what our political views are- we are all Turks. Our parents are Turks and their parents were Turks too and so on and so on. If we overcome those difficulties in front of our country we have the right to consider ourselves as a big nation. A nation that have never been conquered or enslaved, even better- a nation that have rulled over half of the world

ps Can some members share photos of universities that were built in the last years or of the devolopments around the older ones? I want to see some photos of new laboratories, or development centers, IT clusters and stuff. Please share them with the world if you can or you know from where easily to find good photos and info about it. It will be a pleasure to see more such developments.

There are 34 city hospitals in Turkey. The construction started. 1300 - 1600 bed capacity. Each hospital costs 200 - 250 million dollars. 250 × 34 hospitals total cost of $ 8.5 billion.

Next time If they are going to build a huge and fancy new mosque they can at least try to make it look a little bit more futuristic. Not that Istanbul needs any new mosques as it already has more than 3000 active ones but modern designs are something Turkey should try to build as it is a rare thing around here... Copying some 16th century designs (even though Istanbul's old mosques are pure classical beauties) and building it with cheap concrete, cranes and ugly colours is nothing else than an eye sore.

ps I talk about Camlica. Do you guys think those new mosques are really needed? I want to see what religious people think about it.

Wrong.

This is the actual concept:

It's heavily influenced by European baroque. It's a classic, very fine and not massively built.

Next step should be to remove the Hamburger stalls and other shops from the forecourt of the Aya Triada Church, which is located at the Taksim Square.

This building is too beautiful to be covert by Hamburger stands.

This church is next to the place where the mosque will be built. Both will match perfectly.

The problem is that these shops are property of the church. The situation is ridiculous. An Islamic gov't wants to show the beauty of a church but the Christian community itself is against it. I don't even know whether these shops were legally built.

The point i was making was that we have enough mosques,we dont need to waste money on new mosques when the economy is down,we need jobs for the unemployed.
The whole world knows that we are Muslims.

Well mosque are like Buildings, bridge etc... it's a show of power and greatness. Building mosque and mostly Very Big ones, is not only for Turkish ppl , but it's a picture for all muslims.
Ofc you can use that money to make something else, but building things give turks jobs too... workers; engineers;architects.; cement ... for a long time. In a way it's always good for the economy, like any infrastructure works...

Does Greek and EU claims that Aya- Sofya is a Church define Istanbul as HELLENIC ?

If I would govern Turkey I would invite all Turks living abroad to come back home.
Support them with all we can. This would bring huge growth and human ressources to Turkey.

Sure ? What will happen to the huge artillery barracks they are protected by law.
AKM is since 20 years a ruine.
I would prefer the modern concept together with a new AKM culture center, ancient artillery barracks as war museum and park, complete isolated from traffic.

Wasn't a concept like that already published ?
