China is on course to be the world’s biggest economy by 2030, according to analysis that challenges Donald Trump’s claim that the U.S. is not about to be overtaken.

The forecast was made by economists at HSBC Holdings Plc in a new study of 75 nations published on Tuesday. It also saw the Chinese as remaining the single biggest contributor to global growth over the next decade.

The projections suggest China’s gross domestic product will stand at $26 trillion in 2030, up from $14.1 trillion today. The U.S. meanwhile will see its GDP rise more slowly to $25.2 trillion from $20.4 trillion.

Just last month, Trump said that China was no longer on track to surpass the U.S. “in a very short period of time.” The HSBC prediction does though gel with that of the International Monetary Fund, which said in July that China could become the world’s largest economy by 2030.

. . .
Maybe that's why we see Trump is getting paranoiac.

China was a pretty Asian chick at school who the bully showered with gift to lure to make the other guys getting picked on at school jealous. Turned out the Asian girl at school hates bullies and is friends of the kids who are picked on. Giving them confidence to stand up to the bullies and perhaps drive them from the school yard.

This is why the zionists feel betrayed by China, they thought China would be some two bit whore of the bullies. But turned out to be full of love, respect and power.

China will become the biggest economy in 2030.
But in 2030 the Chinese population will peak at a 1.45 billion.
The average income per person will be lower than that of the United States.

So the next goal for China should be to become a highly developed country.
A country where the average income per person is the highest in the world.
(Maybe excluding states with a high dependency on oil / gas and other natural resources)

When does the Chinese government think they will achieve this?

A gold-backed yuan would do this overnight. China chooses to be an export nation so foregoes this option. They should still be stockpiling gold quicker than any other nation. To prepare China to have a jump in GDP. Maybe there won't be a jump in GDP, maybe China's GDP will stay the same and the world's GDP will all fall by 70% (in terms of gold back yuan) when China buys all the gold/silver/etc in the world and links the yuan to gold.

Do away with global dollar dominance, use RMB to replace US dollars, and then everything solved.

It’s a prediction, just like they predicted China would pass the US economy in 2020 ten years ago. The fact of the matter is that China is just keeping pace at this point. China is not even surging ahead, and hasn’t for 5 years now. The US will add roughly $1 trillion to its economy this year. It will be another lost year for China.

Who predicted that China would pass US in 2020? nominal or PPP? Can you at least provide a source? If you are talking about PPP China already did couples of years ago.

It is all about the exchange rate. For almost all industries, China had already overtook US for years.

In the first place your opening post is talking about nominal GDP right?

Yes, and whether China can overtake US in a decade largely depends on the exchange rate. Can be longer , can be shorter, but it won't affect China's real growth.
