The relation of Turkey and USA always has had strong parasites in the past and never was as good as current relation. USA is not very popular among nations after Arab spring in contrast with Turkey. I think USA is in need of a moderate country like Turkey to secure it's benefits in ME. Even Romney has to continue that politic at least for the next decade. Maybe more but yet limited political pressure regards to the problems related to Israel.
