I have been thinking how exactly US will leave with the last soldiers on the last plane

how will they leave the front gate, will they simply make a run for it together and into the cargo hold while the plane is taxing on the runway

there has to come a time when the air traffic control and main gates are not manned

what happens at that point ? Afghans will chase after them surely

some reports are saying the Turks will move in just before last US troops leaves to man the airport entrances who will then put Taliban in charge when they leave on their A400 which is already there

the very last soldiers on the very last plane will be a very tense time for US no doubt

Wow so Taliban will work with US on this? Wow
Talibs and Turkey are probably involved to run it, starting now, and after the 31st, if I had to guess considering the discussions.

Pentagon's Kirby has said today they will leave a functioning airport behind while also destroying some supplies in last days. Things are already in place. At least plans are.

He is one of the two hosts of the AfghanEye Podcast and a very knowledgeable person.

These people are a MILLION times better than the Western 'pundits', 'experts', 'consultants' and even the Western 'reporters on the ground' . I never thought my opinion of the Western media would sink so low, so fast as it has been in the last 2 odd weeks. Even Indian media Wion's Annas Mallick is better than them!

WASHINGTON: About 12,500 people were evacuated from Afghanistan on Thursday, raising the total evacuees amid the Taliban takeover of Kabul to roughly 105,000 since Aug. 14, the White House said on Friday.

Renewed evacuation efforts ramped a day before the militant group entered the Afghan capital on Aug. 15. Since the end of July, about 110,600 have been evacuated, the White House said.
Evacuations have resumed after two blasts killed scores of people, including 13 US soldiers, outside the gates of Kabul airport Thursday evening, with troops on alert for more possible attacks.

About 5,000 of the 12,500 individuals evacuated on Thursday were air-lifted out that night, according to the White House tallies.

US military forces, who have guarded the airport in Kabul, are due to withdraw by the Aug. 31 deadline set by US President Joe Biden, leaving a vacuum.

They really should adopt a standard modern style military uniform, especially at these kinds of key checkpoints and bases, so they can be distinguished from civilians or potential hostiles, so another attack could be more easily detected, if god forbid warning of the threat re-emerge.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Why are they still wearing the same dressing when as government of Afghanistan should be wearing proper uniforms? Police, military, SF, security etc.

Wonder if Pakistan, China Iran and other countries could supply them with uniforms?

They probably didn’t anticipate becoming the government so soon. While it may not seem to be an important point for some, looking the part of an official military/police is a huge part of psychological looking professional and therefore accountable To rules. They should look at some uniforms they can buy in bulk and quick, at least for their city police forces. In the country the people probably already know them so uniforms can be second priority there after consolidating control.
