How Turkey is sending Muslim Uighurs back to China without breaking its promise

Ok let's be serious. We all know that rights violations happens in so many different countries and China is targeted for a reason because it's seen as a threat to US dominance. I don't know the extent of the problem but it's no joke that a large number of ethnic minorities are locked up in camps. This is undeniable but what is up to debate is claims like Chinese officials sleeping with minority women, forced sterilizations etc. I also believe that China is not bound by international rule-based system and might be even more ruthless than the US once it has enough power to go into foreign adventures. They might even export their system of control to other countries to suppress local populations and I bet that this will start in Afghanistan soon and once this starts hitting home, you won't be writing stuff here on PDF.

On the other hand I also believe that there should be a balance of global powers. Large countries with more than 1 billion people gaining too much power will upset the entire system that was built in the past few decades and this will also be a threat to much smaller countries in the world because whatever big countries like India and China can do will make the US look like a primary school bully. At the same time, I believe these countries should have an appropriate power to balance the US hegemony.

Why India is not targeted with the same intensity for its own rights violations is because India hasn't reached the same power that China currently has but in the future you will see this change. Rightfully so.

It's all about interests my friend. Don't be naive into thinking one country or the other is the saint.

You got atleast few things right.

Yes every country got issue, hell we got active and rather violent right movement going on in America as we speak. Besides it's not china which is bringing its socialism through its bombers and regime changes.

So if someone wants to have a go at China, atleast have some sort of credibility to begin with.

Read my post again. It's not about what's happening right now. It's what might happen in the future. You think a country with a massive economic power and more than 1 billion population will not aggressively push for their interests once they have the power to do so? You are again being shortsighted. Like I said, this country that doesn't give a hoot about locking up entire minorities will not think twice about doing the same in a foreign country. If you lived in pre-WW2 era, then you would be speaking the same about the US as you are doing with China but see how US turned out to be once it had enough power.

Also US is no saint. That's why we need the likes of China to balance the US but by no means the outcome will be rainbows if China replaces the US as the sole global superpower.

There are roughly 50000 Uyghurs live in Turkey. How come they are here if the articles's claim is true?

Ofcourse we can't have all of the brothers and sisters since China doesn't allow them to flee easily. The ones fled the country is given Turkish passport by the Turkish conculate in China. Another thing is if they leave their mainland it means they leave it to China totally. Sometimes need to resist and wait for the right time to strike back.

Turkey is under heavy pressure from all sides right now. For long-term benefits we can't lose China at the moment. Short-term policies will harm Uyghurs. More free and stronger Turkey will help them in a stronger way in the near future when we dealt with the problems around us. Let the Us-China fight focus on Uyghur issue for us now. Our time will come...

‘We See China’s Security As Our Security’, says Turkish Minister

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stressed security ties with Beijing on Thursday.

He was visiting China ahead of a trip to the Philippines, where he will attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Manila.

“We see China's security as our security,” the minister told a news conference with Foreign Minister Wang Yi. “We do not permit any negative actions against China in our country or region.”

Cavusoglu’s visit follows President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s trip in May, where he met President Xi Jinping and attended a meeting on China’s One Belt, One Road project, which aims to stimulate global trade and growth through a campaign of infrastructure development.

It was the fourth meeting between Erdogan and Xi since 2015.

Turkey is also looking to boost ties in education, tourism and culture, Cavusoglu added. “We hope that Chinese tourist numbers will increase,” he said. “We expect 3 million of 100 million [Chinese] tourists going abroad every year to come to Turkey.”

Agricultural produce is leading the rise in trade between the countries, the minister added, as Turkey continues negotiations with China and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Chinese Foreign Minister Yi, for his part, also underlined the importance of China-Turkey relations in terms of security.

"China will decisively support Turkey in its efforts to protect its sovereignty, stability and security," Yi said.

Referring to the recent developments at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, Yi said the Palestinian issue "is the basis of the chaos in the Middle East," and should be solved through dialogue and negotiation.

"If the Palestinian issue is not solved, peace will not be possible in the Middle East," he said, adding they expect the issue to be solved jointly with the international society including Turkey, which has a "special position" in the matter.

After China, Cavusoglu will travel to Manila to meet foreign ministers from 26 nations at the ASEAN summit.

Although not a member of the 10-country bloc, Turkey formed ties with ASEAN in 1999, attended its first summit in 2013 and has applied for ASEAN partnership.

the annoying thing is that neither state reactions nor popular reactions have met US expectations.

What is the reason behind Turkish calm reaction? Economy? geopolitical interests? Pakistan does the same we are called names by Turks here.

Many Uighur used to reside in Pakistan too, i don't know current situation.

Turks only care about their PanTurkism, do you see they show the same enthusiasm about Kashmir? They don't even care about your disputes with India, don't see many Turks engage in debates with Indians here, unlike China and Pakistan, they have a good friendship with India, but they want you to be cannon fodders for their pan turkistan fantasy. You see Indians boycotting Chinese goods every year, did you ever see Indians boycotting Turkey?

Do you Know about backstabbing?

Turkey will try its best to support seperatists curbing Chinese. They have the US support for it. USA pays them to destabilize Arab countries, stabbing Arabs in the back is a norm in their regional policies. They backstabbed Iran and Syria, they stabbed Russians in the back after downing their fighter over Syrian airspace. When they invested an excuse to intervene in Syria :
"In 2014, voice recordings, where he, foreign minister Davutoğlu, Deputy Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Yasar Güler, and other military personnel discusses a potential false flag incursion into Syria, was leaked to YouTube and shared across Twitter. The event resulted in the Turkish government blocking access to Twitter, then YouTube, and finally the DNS servers of Google DNS and OpenDNS.[10] In the voice recording, he is heard saying, to a military personnel, "... f legitimacy [of a possible incursion into Syria] is an issue, I can simply send a few men there [across the Syria-Turkey border] and have them launch missiles over to us. Legitimacy is not a problem. Legitimacy can be manufactured." Seymour Hersh later linked what was said in this leaked meeting with CIA–Erdoğan dealings on Syria.[11]"

Im all for friendship of Turkey and China, but my advice, never turn your back on them.

Believe me, only some wanted criminals may be sent back for trial. Most of these Uighurs in Turkey tried all means to stole out of China and went to Turkey and they think Turkey is their homeland and some even got Turkish nationality, so let them remain there as they wish, a happy ending for everyone.

Turks only care about their PanTurkism, do you see they show the same enthusiasm about Kashmir?

Erdoğan is the only 3rd party leader talked about Kashmir at UN general assembly. Go search. He also clearly said "No difference between Gallipoli and Kashmir" at parliament of Pakistan. Our stance is clear about this.

What a line, so you are suggesting that we should not believe it,right? Your government is a liar or you are a liar?

Simply political language. Believe me Turkey give zero fvck to China's security. All we care about is Uyghurs.

Yes we know about it.
Iran is the champion of dirty politics and sect exporting in the region moreover fueling Shi'a movements and de-stabilizing neighbors. What Usa pays for? Lol. They sanction us here and there.

. . . .
Ok, so Turkish government is a liar, got it.

Not as much as Chinese govt. when saying they don't oppress Uyghurs and selling propaganda to the world about how Uyghurs are happy. You and I know it, let's not disrespect our minds.

.
Fake news posted from a fake news site, by a Srilankan (?) in Germany (?) Take it with a healthy dose of salt, nonMuslims always want to break our belief in each other. I assure you nothing like this is happening.

We must recognise, Chinese govt is flexing its muscle all around the world - tibet, hk now, turkestan. what they have done in xinjiang is pure genocide and mass incarceration probably largest after WW2.
