Have you read the cheapest medicine for Cancer Vitamin B-52, it is so cheap, and very controversy because if true the pharma companies manufacturing the cancer medicine (only 5 major companies makes cancer medicine, others make with license) would get Bankrupt.

Despite of this, India is still trying to reduce pollution.
India is biggest producer of renewable energy. and is expected to half the pollution during its rapid economic growth. Meanwhile US and China will be increasing. Still Americans are putting pressure on India to reduce its carbon emissions.

Now I tell you in plain simple language Solar energy, is the biggest stunt to fool the people as a Green Energy. First its not economical, not fessible, needs lot of Space, and Sun don't shine for 24 hour. This is used to make fool and make the money, how a park electrified by Green energy is created with the money invested which benifits the Solar panel makers, battery makers and the maintainace company and Most important the Govt. officer who pass the Project. After 6 month many battery, chargers, regulators don't work. And after 2 years the whole setup is deteriorated and then you are back with the municipality Light.

Geo thermal Energy is the unlimited source of Energy, What we need is the technology to harness that abundant energy, and the technology to Store them. Right now I am interested in Griffin based Capacitor Bank.

These renewable sources of Energy may not be 100 % efficient , but they can be very effective in places like Stadiums , Airports , Railway stations , Street Lights etc .

Use of renewable enrgy is the simplest answer that can be given but there are many more things like upgrading public transport and encouraging ppl to use them instead of cars. Even if trains and buses aren't electric the pollution would be lower than lots of cars ,traffic jams etc. Strict emmision laws and cleaner fuel will help too

Solar tech is not perfect but it is improving very fast. Solar and Wind power should be used when ever possible.

generally yes.

domestic vehicles, meaning non-commercial cars, motorcycles, scooters, vans, should really be phased out in the next five to seven years and this should be a declared supreme court objective to be compulsorily followed by all citizens... the motorcycles especially should be banned immediately because they not only pollute but have led to increased criminality, anarchy and callousness.

and of course these should be replaced with public transport at two levels- (a). intra-residential-area transport vehicles that can carry five to seven people with luggage and carry them to the nearest public transport bus stop, (b). public transport bus stop that can also carry luggage... both type of vehicles should have basic medical emergency facility ( oxygen, trained driver etc )... these vehicles should be numerous to avoid delays.

one might ask where from the money should come for purchase or construction or modification of these tens of thousands of such vehicles...

1. the indian military is over-provided in people and materiel... 40 percent of the people should be put to internal security duty ( absorbed into a new kind of policing ) and half of the materiel should be sold... this should save or bring money to provide for not only the public transport vehicles but also in creating india into a welfare/socialist state.

2. seize the saleable assets of religious institutions.

other than the extreme capitalism of traditional indian society, the renewed consumerist capitalism of the last 20 years has contributed to india being perhaps the most polluting country of the world... cell phones, dogs, mba colleges, alcohol places, gym memberships for females, neo-religious places, useless software companies ( 99 percent of software companies in india ), wedding houses, wedding planners, one-time wedding clothes, high-definition tv's, private and interest-taking banks, useless engineering colleges etc... you know those elements... all these must be abolished at the earliest.

I think we should learn from West .

Just like we jumped from Asiatic mode of Society to Capitalist mode of production .
We must skip the development way of West , either invent our own path or Take the steps which are more sci fi .

Indian govt needs to come up with extraordinary policy to encourage Electric cars in India. Due to the size of market Electric car makers will make a bee line.

- Give subsidy to electric car buyers
- No tax while buying, no other road tax or so
- Encourage electric car manufacturers to set up charging points around city and along NHS.
- A proper waste management system
- Electric cars use batteries, so proper battery waste management + cost efficiency in buying batteries. Normally batteries have warranty of 5-7 years.

Other steps which can be taken such as

- Smart cities should have bicycle lanes on all streets, clearly marked on roads and boards
- Ample Bicycle parking spaces should be made available
- Even other cities should be encouraged to use bicycles
- Schools should be asked to encourage students to use bicycles
- For example, all girl students in India should be given bicycles
- Instead of taxing a car when you buy. the govt should tax the car every month as long as it runs. This is how it works here in EU
- Make it mandatory to check the vehicle once a year. No check means penalties. the check should cover exhaust, whole car check including Brakes, steering, seat belts, air bags, etc etc safety and environment related.


Corporates can chip in too.
- Encourage colleagues coming in car to come to work in groups
- Instead of letting employees come by car, arrange Hybrid / CNG buses.
- Give extra allowances to encourage employees.

We need to adopt a new system like Singapore. Congested cities like Mombai, Kolkata and all, not all cars can run every day on streets. All cars when issued number plates, should be allowed to run specific days. For ex some people can run cars only on 3 days a week, some only 4 days a week. This will help in reducing pollution and traffic, win win situation.
