Well reading the article that is solely based on assumptions , well this can never pass of as a valid strategy.

If the OP should revisit the wars between India and Pakistan and should gain an understanding that strategy is never static.

The best strategical theories do not rely on just one eventuality ....

THe best strategies are ready for every eventuality ....but strategy can only tilt 20% towards a favorable war...the rest is done by training and logistics.

Better ur resources .. better is the strategy ....and better the strategy ....more are ur resources.

good point. Assumptions can never be made precisely. But still, it is the best we can do.

Things have changed now after 26/11 we have reduced our response time to 48hours

Two options ---

1) Use nukes : which will turn most of the sub-continent into radioactive trash. Dont see Pakistani generals consider it in case of a surgical strike or a limited invasion

2) Use the PAF : Probably the most effective way to halt Indian armoured units , since Indian armour has extensive counter-measures against Anti Tank missiles , will be accompanied by armoured helis and the sort ....

Short Range tactical missiles may work but it will involve other counter-measures .

If PAF can fly a large number of Defensive sorties , it might force a halt to Advancing Indian Lines .

As long as we dont have a confirmed strategy in Place , everything is speculation ....and Cold Start is deliberately kept ambiguous by even our top brass so we can't take Cold-Start objectives and formations to be accurate.
