How to deal with terrorism? The scientific approach

However, the west has taken some tough steps to ensure, the "jehadi" culture does takes root in their country, especially England.
Actually IMHO England is the future Hub of International Terrroists. It has not banned HT which preaches nothing but hatred (It is banned in Pakistan for attacks on President Pervez Musharraf).Pakistani Officials also have complained several times to UK to ban it but no action even UK MP"s asked Brown to ban it but he said we dont have enough legal line to ban them.I don't know why UK Muslims are so radicalized but there are good Muslims too in UK but the bad ones show their face too in public too often.

HT has been banned in the UK - check your facts please.

The problem with such groups is that its all too easy to set up an offshoot under another name. As evidenced with your very own JuD which has been masquerading under various names.

We do have finger prints database with NADRA? Dont we? in a country of 170 milion.....

Dabbing an ink-soaked finger onto a card isn't a searchable functioning database and there's certainly not 170 million people with NADRA cards.

How was the Irish insurgency countered? Infiltration and the creation and care of informants - and decisive action by state agencies when acting upon information provided by informants.
.

in Case of Pakistan, (at some point) TTP has been beheading 5 people a day in tribal areas accused spying for Pak army. in some cases they didnt even spare children who were "caught" receiving sweets from soldiers at the check posts.

ISI has lost a lot of its men in this war. actually to me it seems that the game is other way round where we still have TTP sympathisers in agencies and civil service e.g. that commissionor/ SDM of Swat who was very close to Mullah Fazlullah. as far as the politicians are concerned PMLn has never made any secret of that Rana Sanahullah famously waved hands with the Sipha Sahabah leader in Jhang.

The most important thing to do will be closing the Pak-Afghan border..Make it water tight and let nobody cross it on either sides...
Most of our troubles come from there...We knew nothing of Kalashinkovs,Herion,Suicide bombing before Afghan people came to Pakistan and Pakistan got involved in their war...
Not being Racist here...Cant blame all of the Afghan refugees..But Now is the time they should decide, which side they are on? If they consider themselves Pakistani or Afghan?

At the same time Brute force has been a very succesful weapon in our part of the world..The example of General Babur Nasit against the spin off gansters of MQM (Not MQM itself) in the 1990s can be followed..This man used Brut force, and no matter how ugly was the solution..It did solve the problem to a great extent...

We may revert to Carpet Bombing terrorist hideouts..We may use aircrafts similar to A-10s to gun down the miscreants then and there without remorse..

Brute force has worked in the past..and it may work now..

It's been tried in Loe Sam in Bajaur - it failed. The Taliban took it back mainly because the locals lost up to Seven thousand shops, houses, etc. They were pretty p1$$ed off that their whole village was turned to rubble by Pak Army.

Collective punishment never works - Just look at Palestine.

Wow man did u just pull tht number outta ......?

Pak Army has never used tht kind of force on the citizens of its country! 7000 is a VERY VERY BIG NUMBER!! Wat r u smoking?

Such big numbers dont just go unnoticed and no army uses such blind brute force on its OWN PEOPLE!

As of 1990s Clean Up operation RANGERS AND POLICE were used not the ARMY!

Its better to learn something and then comment instead of writtin watever crap tht comes into mind!

Bring social reforms in the country. Provide quality education and economic justice. This will isolate the support for armed groups. However, secret ops are inevitable!

You cannot win the fight by bombing indiscriminately. Bomb the hardcore ones and educate the young and soft ones.

You can put a cap by bombing indiscriminately but that cap will explode in the future leaving all of us dead.

The child of ABC khan or GHI Baloch is my child, that should be the level of unity.

You can make an effective social/economic system, better than Capitalism. Narrow minded individuals think that it is impossible..Make your own system considering the demography, culture, religion, region etc

Well then..what has Pakistan ever done to those miscreants? Who are TTP? The Tribals of FATA who enjoy the protection and facilities of being Pakistani national..and yet obey no law since 1947? No taxes,no police,no restrictions on moving across borders and access to drugs and guns.

Too many years have passed and they have been dealt with leniency...The trouble is that the hard nosed rebels of those areas and also Baluchistan, take leniency as weakness..The only language they been understanding since generation is of the one who conquers them and chains them...A gentle approached never worked..even in history..

After all they are descendants of warring tribes of central Asia...Its in their genes..

Is this pledge of theirs justified?
