Amidst rising political tensions, the Pashtuns of Pakistan have been caught in crossfire with several politicians equating them with the likes of Taliban. But Pashtuns have historically played a major role in Pakistan's success in every walk of life, here are some of them.

.
Abdul Qadeer Khan R.A was a blessing. Liaquat Ali Khan was the first martyr.

Are they Pashtun? Here on PDF they are called Hindustani Bhayyas just like Niazis are considered Punjabi.

1. Picking on any ethnicity is a dumb move as there are good and bad individuals in any group.
2. Since Pakistan (and many Pakistanis) is supportive of Taliban, what does 'equating them with the likes of Taliban' even mean?

. . .
we can not seprate one group of people . almost every part of paksitan have contributed in country .

.
They are Pakistani not a "community"
Anyone calling them anything but Pakistani is himself not Patriotic Pakistani

This is exactly why we have identity problems. Regional identities were crushed in order to become Pakistanis. One language was introduced and made national language which was spoken by 1% of the population. Bengalis didnt know urdu but it was forced upon them which they resented.

You can be equally Pashtun/Balochi and Pakistani the same time. Celebrating regional diversity/culture/language wont make you any less Pakistani.

The status-quo establishment draws from every region and socio-economic group. It's not Punjabis vs. Sindhis vs. Muhajirs vs. Pashtuns and so on, but an elite versus everyone. However, when society starts seeing failure after failure, they start looking at the elite; in turn, the elite deflects to other issues, like blaming specific ethnicities or minorities. That's how failing leaders respond to accountability; they cut some of their own loose in a bid to save themselves.

We shouldn't fall for such BS.

According to Pashtun standards they wouldn't be. They didn't speak Pashto so that's instantly a no.
