nastik is referred to those who doesnt believe in the existence of god... whereas kafir is used by u people in order to refer those who doesn't believe in your faith and in u r perception of god. there is clearly a big diff btwn both.. moreover , no hindu text or any hindu called for killing/elimination of nastiks..
1) During the time of the vedas...How many other religions were there that nastik would be used for them? There were vedas followers and non vedas followers Astik and Nastik....
I just googled Astik and Nastik and realize I have been lied to by you lot:
YOGA OF GITA Part 1: PHILOSOPHY AND YOGA OF GITA as expounded by Dnyaneshwar - Vibhakar Lele - Google Books
The book claims those who "dispute" the vedas and did not ascribe to its authority are Nastik not just atheist...So basically either you are lying or you dont know your own religion? Now tell me how different is this from a Non Muslim (who doesnt ascribe to Quran and ALLAH)?
2) Killing of Buddhist monks during Asoka's reign?
Ancient Hindu wars are the
battles described in the
Hindu texts of ancient
India. These battles depict great
heroes,
demons, celestial weapons and beings,
magic, and the
supernatural.
While no Hindu epic or scripture fails to describe the horrors of war and its fallout, major wars are fought with the purpose of upholding the Dharma (righteousness that brings prosperity to humanity) over Adharma(wickedness that causes humanity to suffer). The purpose of the wars is often to eliminate demonic beings or lords and rulers who pursue war want only for
ambition (wicked wishes) and domination (for worldly pleasures).
Hindu teachings prescribe war as the final option, to be employed only after all peaceful methods are exhausted. But when this time comes, war is taught to be a matter of great personal and social importance, where every man who belongs to the warrior caste must do his duty, exemplifying courage,
honor, and fearsome prowess against all odds and even at the cost of his life.
So when you say there is no fighting written is another lie? And these in the light of Hindu teachings....
Even Hindu gods went for war...Gods who are supposed to be superior to Human beings...what is that teaching you?
The major Hindu gods, including
Brahma,
Vishnu,
Shiva, and
Shakti, often engage in war, either in the form of
Avatars or in their true form.
