2 CRPF personnel killed, bombs defused in Manipur

Two CRPF personnel on poll duty were killed in an ambush by militants even as four powerful bombs planted near polling stations were seized and defused before polling for the Manipur assembly began on Saturday morning.

The CRPF personnel were killed on Friday when militants
ambushed them in Ukhrul district, official sources said.
They said the bombs were suspected to have been planted by militants in Khurai Chingangbam area, Sawombung High School, Khomidok in Imphal East district and Naoremthong High School area in Imphal West district to disturb the polls.

The explosives were seized and defused, they said.

An official report said an 80-year old woman was killed last Thursday in interior Tamenglong hill district when suspected militants attacked a Congress party office with bombs.

Heres the funny thing

The Map shows Karnataka under Maoist Control
a state which has not had a Maoist attack for 40 yrs and is Ruled By BJP

It also shows Andhra Pradesh , a State which wiped out the last of the Maoist in 2005

also while its true that their is Maoist Presence in Jharkhand , Chatisgarh , West Bengal , Orisa and Bihar
But how much of a presence they have , that is the question , since all these states have Proper state governments , and Bihar and orrisa also have very High Growth rate

Another funny thing is that Maoist has been suffering more losses than they can handle with 14 of there top 20 leaders getting killed or arrested in the Last 2 Yrs along with some 5000 of there 15000 cadres

could understand others have an inferiority complex about us , but a Chinese?

How often have you heard that one-third of India is gripped with Naxals, or Maoists, or LWE-afflicted (LWE stands for Left Wing Extremism in government parlance)? One-third! Is it one-third area, or one-third population, or one-third districts, or one-third of India's states!

How much of India is Maoist-affected?

India's gov should tell the truth to people even if they won't like it, Don't bury your head in the sand, the situation is almost out of control and it's only going to get worse!

That map is highly overbloated atleast by 500-600 times.Of that red corridor,Maoists have influence only in Chattisgarh and Jharkand which are small heavily forested states.Anywhere else if they move an inch more than they should be,they ll get mass slaughtered and they know that.
