If rich like my daddy and wife's strong like mum

I'd love 5-6 kiddos, I believe this world not only needs but deserves more of little me's, IE good specimens ( /s for the last part)
Yeah, but do your little ones deserve this world? I legit think about that stuff. Unless, I get out and reach brown-people heaven (europe), climate change and all that crap is going to bite us in the a*s in our lifetimes, let alone our potential kids.

@NagaBaba , wbu? Do you think about this stuff? Would you be willing to bring mini-viruses into the world and how many?

@Paitoo , ustad ji, wbu?

I think about it all the time.

I am the eldest, and still single and have no intention of getting married and have kids. Even if I do get married, I don't want to have kids. And that's the thing which is keeping me from getting married because it feels injustice to woman.

My siblings have 1 child each and highly doubt it they are gonna have more.

My mother says, If she had only me as a child with the same current mindset of having no kids, she wouldn't have any progeny left then. In a way, she is right. I never gave my parent grandchild but my siblings did. Think about this point too.

not a good time to be born, man

whole damn planet is going to schit

in our tradition we have a theory about the ages (yugas) but

and we're smack bang in the middle of the dark ones..

its a cycle that repeats every few thousand years, and a greater cycle that repeats every few tens of thousands of years

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satya_Yuga .. you may follow on from here if interested

basically, and I be butchering it proper.. :

first age : humans live for thousands of years, and copulate via pure thought (boring, right?)

then 2 more : humans live for progressively smaller time periods

then this dark one : where we live <100 generally

to know "God/The Universe" also took 1000s of years of penance back then, because people were already highly spiritually evolved.

to know "god" now is easy, because we are so distant.

or something roughly of the sort.

Another point, what if somebody's single child dies in accident, terrorism, murder or war(as in happening in Ukraine currently) especially when they are way pass the child bearing age? Thats the end of his lineage.

I always thought about my lineage and legacy, have been married for eight years, and recently had my first through IVF, and Inshallah plan on more. My father raised us five brothers and always said if God gives children, he gives them sustenance. When they're born, you have to move your hands and work. Those who look at short-term life and think I don't want low quality of life will not know much joy and think just building wealth is enough. I know many with two children, a son, a daughter, and the son who's supposed to be that family's future head, worthless in education, etc.

An old Punjabi saying a mother with one child is blind; with two, she's blind in one eye; with three, she's intelligent.

plumbing is a bit beyond my skillset but I do like know exactly wtf they doing and where the problem might be.. next time shite sprouts its ugly head I can tell em its so and so problem.. like ACs, for eg... I know when its leaking gas or when B or C other problem might be the cause of whatever BS.
I like plumbing the least. Matter of fact, you could say I hate it. but I have to do it. The minor stuff only.

Randomly curious..

this part of the world is well known for couples producing many offspring

1 is traditionally rare but increasingly common as times change

2 is what most folk seem to want

3 or more does happen but not a lot afaics among urban modern folk

what's your situation ?

also add how many you'd want to sprout, if at all ?

@Paitoo @villageidiot @Valar. @iamnobody @CallSignMaverick @Dalit @beijingwalker @VCheng @RescueRanger .. call your friends too, thanks.

I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion here but I am one of three siblings but have no brothers unfortunately and grew up wanting a brother so bad it’s sad tbh. Now I plan to iA have a big Pathan family, atleast 5 kids and hopefully a good mix of daughters and sons (provided the missus agrees as well). I don’t want my kids to miss out on the fun of having someone to play with or having someone as constant back up if push comes to shove. Also, I can afford it financially and will most likely turn them into educated, decent and progressive Pakistanis so why the hell not I guess.

Sad fact, actually.

I'm not looking to have children, so I can't really say, but Pakistan is not a great place to have kids.

Oh please no.
They are the reason why birth control exists
We are 10 siblings

Mother has 10 siblings

Father has 5 siblings

Total first cousins 150 +
Wth.....
Some guys here have entire standing armies worth of family members

I looked at his post and was like huh that's it, had to double check 😄
All uncle, Aunties have around 10 kids, some are married again etc so have more kids, if you add my first cousins kids then easily add another 900, they average 6 kids so cutting down and becoming modern.

We will take back Kashmir InshaAllah.

And brother you gota have atleast one child, amazing experience, its not difficult but media just scares people away.

As classist as it sounds, but rich people having more kids is not really an issue.

It's the poor people having more kids which is the issue.

Rich people atleast provide something to their kids - during life, even after death.

Poor people can't provide anything to their kids neither in life not after death. Infact they produce kids just so that they quickly grow up and start doing Mehnat Mazdoori. Many even don't care about adulthood and their underage kids start working. Sad reality of our society.

Every Pakistani should have his own cricket team. I only have one son right now, but more soon on the way inshallah.

IA brother, can we make a deal to square off our teams in football too because if my kids take after me then that’s the only sport they’ll be decently good at 😂

You are absolutely right, population itself is not a bad thing provided they are actually insan k bachay and contribute towards society. I for one will endeavour to atleast my kids a better version of me in all regards iA.
