How many Indian-Americans took up arms and gave life for USA ?

From google about selective service:

What Happens If You Don't Register for Selective Service. If you are required to register and you don't, you will not be eligible for federal student aid, federal job training, or a federal job. You may be prosecuted and face a fine of up to $250,000 and/or jail time of up to five years.

Selective service may not be required for H1B but many indians ( up to 75% of indian americans ) have used the H1B to get to permanent residence and citizenship, however after getting permanent residence and citizenship it doesn't look like they are well represented in those who gave life in US wars, that's the point

selective service is for males between 18 and 26
if you get your green card at age 30 you bypass the whole process

So does that mean Trump is not a total fool, just a big one? :D

Its doubtful that Cadet Bone Spurs cares about who served and who did not.

Any comments on the above, @Arsalan ?
Wont pay any serious attention to this unless it actually HAPPENS. Same as many other people say about many other countries. :D

Seriously, America have a long history of not being true to its words. This too is nothing but a joke with US forces currently engaged in over half a dozen countries none of which shares a neighborhood with USA. So unless they actually start doing it, its nothing but hogwash

The present global stance of the US military has evolved over decades, and will take take several more to reverse. At least the debate is beginning, it seems. US history shows that periods of isolationism inevitably end when international crises require it to take sides. Enforcing a global order is not the purview of one superpower only, but takes teamwork and alliances. Here I clearly disagree with the orange buffoon's approach.

America has more alliances to protect other countries than ever before in the history of mankind.
We are talking about countries that count in the greater scheme of things.

True for almost every politician.

A major bulk of these alliances have been forced upon via manipulation. Not accusung USA of doing it, not saying WHY they do it or that they should not. Just stating a fact.

That's because we didn't have a draft since 1971. And those type of people aren't exactly what recruiter targeted.

BY the time these H1B people gain residence, they would have been over 26 and get 4-F'ed (You need 5 years + to get residence from H1B) And recruiter don't generally recruit people over 30. The best time to enlist the grunt are during senior year of high school, because they are facing a crossroad and most of the high school senior don't know what they are going to do after graduate, so these people will consider joining the military if you give them enough incentive.

On the other hand, officers are groomed, majority of the officers come from military background, you go from JROTC to West Point or ROTC and commissioned that way, they started quite early around 11 or 12 years old. And then the other group of officer (Direct Entry) would generally recruited BEFORE they enter into university, or immediately after the graduate. That was the best time to recruit officer because of the student debt, you will have it secured either before or after college, that was the sole motivation. And most Indian or many immigrant were not presents at both stage, they are usually in their late 20s, or early 30s, most of the people recruiter target are either local or second generation immigrant who study high school in the US, and/or College in US, and Indian I saw joining, are mostly second generation Indian who basically as white as a white kid.

I know a girl who strips (yes, as a stripper) to pay for student loan, and join the Army after she graduated, on the premises that the sign up bonus will simply pay for the student loan and she don't need to worry about it.
