Looking at it in a different way, 209 million of the above mentioned 1.6 billion muslims who live in United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia, Italy, India, Spain, Brazil, and Thailand, do have one or more aircraft carriers.. After all, Islam is not the sole property of Muslim majority countries..

First, your source is a terribly weak, feeble one (Wikipedia).
Second, ask Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, other Muslim wealthy countries to pay Indonesia $5 billion, they will deliver two aircraft carriers in less than 2 years' time possibly. That is because Indonesia is already capable of producing them, but they have no "enemies" to seek confrontation with, so they don't take that route.

Most countries operate aircraft carriers as an offensive tool for "power projection" like Americans, Brits, French, Russians (to a lesser extent), and in the future, maybe the Chinese. Some other countries purchased them as vanity projects, like India, Thailand, Brazil etc. The second category of countries purchased 60 or 50 year old aircraft carriers to show-off their power. Thailand's 11,000 ton aircraft carrier does not even operate most of the time because it's too costly to operate.

Another false statement in your initial post was that only one Muslim (majority) country has any helicopter carrying naval vessel. Sorry, don't you know that Indonesia already operates at least 5 LPDs? Most of them were built in Indonesia at PT PAL.

An Indian saying the "Islamic world" is way behind in Technology is utterly ignorant and idiotic. Muslims were the first people in the world to build submarines, long before any infidel Europeans. Later on, the European infidels overtook the Muslims in technology because the Muslims themselves ignored the rulings of Islamic Shariah.

Do you know that Iran builds midget subs? Do you know that Indonesia is going to assemble submarines under T-o-T from Korea (who probably obtained license from Germany) for submarine manufacture?

Good list. The point, as I have mentioned before, is the lack of unity and knowledge/information about each other in the Muslim world. Indonesia can already build aircraft carriers, but did the wealthy Gulf Arab countries ever seek to purchase aircraft carriers from Indonesia? Let's build, design and develop aircraft carriers jointly, maybe?. No, they don't ever think of that.

Look at Egypt's military leaders. They probably purchased some silly patrol boats from Finland or some other Western country. Why? Why not buy from UAE's ADSB? At least, Bahrain does that, it strengthens Muslim industry, employs Muslims, increases our own expertise, experience and knowledge, and in the future, we can go for joint developments as well.

Not just Egypt, almost every other Muslim country seems to be so ignorant they do not even look into other Muslim countries' capabilities before pursuing any project.
